  • Just saw a guy on tiktok with chronic fatigue and T. Still smiling. What a boss
Pretty good day today, felt alive. 2x I felt like shit but it went away quickly
The joke is that he has similar T than me. The lovely 16khz screech.
He has a video where he does hearing tests and even Tinnitus matching. The video was right there and I never clicked on it...
I watched a lot last moths before T a youtuber named Roomieofficial who is a musician and does reaction videos to music.
Sometimes I think I'm recovering, sometimes I think I'm totally fine, and sometimes catastrophic. Can somebody relate?
    ASilverLight
Yup, me. Learned to accept this is the way it is, unfortunately. At least it always settles down very quickly.

I have big fucking mood swings.. sux but I hope it will be better...
I just wanna know how bad can the T get. How loud and how bad. Describe me the worst spike and worst tones.

@Stacken77 @Steph1710 yesh thats what I mean, I turn the volume so I can hear it over muffs or plugs. If I take them
Off the sound isn't overly loud but I guess bad for someone with noise induced T. Just don't know if it's harmful over time

@Wrfortiscue depends on how fast you drive;)
I would say a total volume in the car about max 85DB with muffs is far better than a kid screaming without muffs.
50 miles is around 65-67db. If you go faster remember music is jumpy and you're inside a small enclosed space.

I think it's safer to drive with muffs and some music on top, rather than drive without muffs and no music.. So if it contributes to motivate muffs I'd say enjoy some music if you can. Ear plugs never been my friend..
"Over 57% of pro drummers and 44% of amateur drummers have ringing in their ears (tinnitus)". lol, that fucker probably has tinnitus too 2/2
I always wanted to play drums but never had time and space for it. Probably in a parallel universe I'm a drummer. 1/2
    Wrfortiscue
I played drums for years without protection. Earbuds blasting music as loud as it can go while smashing cymbals as hard as I can. Yeah… lol
Just watched shmee150 newest YouTube video. The dude stood next to q 113db ferrari for half a minute. Sure that gave him T.
Wtf should I do or take to not get anxious about T? It's usually the worse when I don't hear it... my mind is clear but I feel like shit...
Blasted one song 2x in my car. It was a really good feeling (of course not like an idiot loud)
    Wrfortiscue
@Exit I listen to comfortable volume daily and still spike lol
    Exit
Well I "spike" from moving in the bed..
    Stacken77
@GCS Taking care of ones ears and not exposing oneself to loud noises is not about being paranoid, it's plain common sense. You may not suffer any consequences now, but one day those 90 dBs could easily cause a permanent spike. I don't see how listening to loud music for a few minutes of fun could outweigh the detrimental risk of a permanent worsening. It's like asking for trouble in my opinion.
Atleast we are not deaf or blind or paralyzed. Some people need to put up with that and they are not dead. T suck, but not suicide level
    Wrfortiscue
Most with severe tinnitus would take being deaf, some blind. Not sure anyone wants to be paralyzed lol.

I have many problems but the only thing worse than current tinnitus was my prostatitis flare up. Lasted 6 months and half of the time felt like I was getting kicked in the nuts. Night sweats, vomiting and nonstop pain… whew
    Steph1710
I see this post as positive. Just putting it into perspective. :)

Question: doesn't everybody has some sort of visual snow? I only relaised I have it after I red it that a lot of people with T have it.
    D
I realised it after reading about it as well. The weird thing is, I now believe I've had it for a long time (or always) because I remember that at times I was seeing in the distance "a group of small insects" (or so I thought). And of course i never gave it too much thought... I can't tell if it got worse with T either.
Since T I have visual snow. I didn't realised it fully until like a month ago and now sometimes I focus on it. Fuck....
Do you guys listen to music loudly? I do, but not like an idiot testing out max volume of my car. Ffs, what a stupid idea
Her husband, got T in his 20s from firing a gun.... is it genetics? And why did nobody tell me about it... crazy...
    Stacken77
    Most likely genetics, @GCS.

My father never told me he had tinnitus till I got it. Then he told me he has had it for ten years at that time. Then when I was debilitated by mine he acted unsympathetic like it's not a big deal. He doesn't have noxacusis though. If only he would have told me I likely would have taken better care of my ears. All other medical problems I was aware of I kept an eye on developing.

And he told me he had high blood pressure, a silent heart attack etc. Why not the tinnitus? It honestly ruined our relationship and I haven't talked to him in 2 years over resentment of him not telling me and then acting like I should just get over my problems.
After I got T I now know my father has it (I doubt it) my good friend, my grandmother, her sister (she thinks she got it from energy drink)
Did I had this small flickering at complete darkness, or I got it with T. I cant really tell...
Just blast (not too much just a bit) some good uplifting music and carry this shit...
Nobody will rescue me, the 17khz shit is in my head, but I can't take my life, I have so much ahead of me. (3)
And question myself that is it worth it to suffer, but there is no way I'm taking my life. I have one fucking life, that's it. (2)
Fucking hell, I come here and read so many depressive shit. I know this is tough with no end, I suffer a lot day to day (1)
