Petition (Closed): We Need a Cure for Tinnitus

I saw this a little late, it's already closed but thanks for coming up with such an initiative! Maybe we can go for something similar in other countries, too. I live in Turkey and there are almost eighty million people here but the number of people who are both tinnitus sufferers and are...

What Might Cause Ear Fluttering / Contracting? I'm Not Sure?

I don't think fluttering is only due to anxiety/psychological reasons. When my ears fluttered, I wasn't excited at all. I didn't fear any sound at all. I was talking on the phone and it was quite an enjoyable phone call. I totally wanted to hear the person on the phone. But the sound came and...

What Might Cause Ear Fluttering / Contracting? I'm Not Sure?

Hmm, one more thing: I feel a flutter sometimes when I put my head on the pillow. I feel it more when I squize my jaw! :wideyed: I thought maybe it's because of a machine that's working inside of my building or something but now I think it comes from my own ear/head!

What Might Cause Ear Fluttering / Contracting? I'm Not Sure?

Haha, I laughed at this, I don't know if I should be sorry >.< I studied physiology also, and have a rough idea how much of a silly machine our bodies are. It makes me laugh how part of us got broken and is now making weird things :giggle:...I think it's the same with me, though. If I'm at a...

    I'm a Mess :(

Hang in there, I'm a mess, too. We have a story in Turkey: One man fell from a horse. People tried to call him a doctor. He stopped them and said "Also bring me someone who fell from a horse previously!"...My point is, I can get you. T is suffocating sometimes. Yoga class sounds good! I think...

What Might Cause Ear Fluttering / Contracting? I'm Not Sure?

Something similar (or the same, I'm not sure) happened to me when I put my mobile on speaker mode and the person I was talking to sounded really loud. It began fluttering inside my ears, I guess I can describe it like that. It was like a machine working rythmically and fast. I freaked out! I...

Ohh, I like girl who leapt through time! :) Didn't know summer wars is by the same guy. *watchlist* Hmm, I like lots of stuff because I watch also series and I watch all genres. Tinnitus and Computers

Actually we didn't go because I was prescribed an MRA and a doppler. But the nature is amazing there :) There are mountains, olive trees and great beaches. One of my fave places on earth. I agree that posture can be a culprid btw. Everyone spends hours and hours sitting in the same position.

    Tinnitus and Computers

But I remember reading an established professor from Europe saying people were coming to him with rashes on their face and he came to the conclusion that the rashes were from spending too much time in front of old-type computer screens. These people were employees from call centres etc. who had...

Low-Cholesterol Diet and Antilipid Therapy in Managing Tinnitus and Hearing Loss

Diet is indeed a challenge but if it means the T might get less, it might be worth it (plus the added health benefits). Or maybe the key is sports? "Regular participation in physical activity as well as a single exercise session can positively alter cholesterol metabolism (Durstine & Haskell...

Low-Cholesterol Diet and Antilipid Therapy in Managing Tinnitus and Hearing Loss

I don't know if anyone posted this study before. The link between blood lipids and tinnitus is important. I developed tinnitus while I was on a very low carb (and low calorie) diet, which rises your blood lipid levels. Be careful about your cholesterol, folks! Low-Cholesterol Diet and Antilipid...

    Tinnitus and Computers

When my folks said "Let's go to the summerhouse!" in February, I said no way but now...Maybe it's a good idea to leave my laptop at home and go no-tech at a quiet place!...Just that I'm scared I'll go crazy. My work is on my laptop, part of my hobbies are, I communicate to my bf through it...

What Hobbies Do You Have? (and Does Tinnitus Interfere?)

I'm also scared of going to the movies! What to do? We can't postpone it forever...I thought of wearing the right side of my earphone when I go to the theatre since my T is on the right side.

What Hobbies Do You Have? (and Does Tinnitus Interfere?)

I write, I compose, I'm into digital arts, and I love doing anything involving the sea: Swim, dive, boat trips, walk on the beach...I plan to write a story about tinnitus. I think it can be a good way to get people to know about our problem. About composing, I'm dead scared tinnitus will take...
