Hi, so it has been a difficult three years and even worse in the last 8 months or so. I have had tinnitus since at least 2011 and off/on before that in 2010. I learned to cope with it and it started over the last year and a half to get progressively worse. Beginning in 2014 it got really hard because there wasn't just ringing but pressure that often came with headaches as well. In the last 4 months I am in almost constant pain to some degree except when asleep, as I am on sleeping pills. Everything just keeps getting worse and I am trying so hard not to lose hope. I also recently developed arthritis which is almost as bad as my tinnitus. Just when I thought I was going to overcome all of this it all hit me very hard. I cant tolerate much noise at all anymore and even have to keep the t.v. at low volumes. I can cope with ringing even though that too has gotten louder but the pressure, pain and arthritis as well are almost too much to bear. I am on disability and am just about to move out on my own, get a job and start a new life. I don't know how I am going to manage that now. Positive thinking and willpower are no longer enough to overcome the pain. It just keeps getting worse. Many years of ignoring the pain and not seeing doctors has caught up with me. I know I will figure all of it out somehow and make it through. Hope can be a powerful thing and faith carries you when your hope fades. Through it all belief produces a greater love and understanding. If all else fades and falls away I know love, hope and faith never will.
