There's Hope: Gradually I Started to Care Less and Less About My Tinnitus — Now It Doesn't Bother Me

Hey :) I have had my teeth cleaned but other that that haven't needed any dental treatments (touch wood!) I'm sorry you are experiencing a spike, it's always sooo frustrating when you are doing really well and then a spike happens. I know it's soo hard but try not to monitor the spike as I've...

There's Hope: Gradually I Started to Care Less and Less About My Tinnitus — Now It Doesn't Bother Me

Hey Johan My quality of life is really good these days and I would say it's now the same as before tinnitus although I have had to make some changes such as no concerts or listening to music with headphones which really sucks as those were things I really enjoyed before tinnitus. I also avoid...

Hi Tinnitus Talk Friends! It's certainly been a while and I hope you are all doing well. I'm about to go to bed and suddenly felt compelled to give an update on how I'm going. What prompted this is I actually have a sinus infection which has made my tinnitus considerably worse. I can say...

I Don't Need a Fan Anymore — Tinnitus DOES Get Easier

I should probably add that I'm still very paranoid about noise and won't go out anywhere that may be loud. Although I'm more relaxed about the tinnitus my fear of loud noise is still very much there.

I Don't Need a Fan Anymore — Tinnitus DOES Get Easier

I have three different tones, the first one is permanent, I've had it from the start. It's a very loud static noise. The 2nd one hangs around 90% of the time but did go away for a few months at the start of the year so I'm not sure if it's going to be permanent. It's a soft "eeeee" I have...

I Don't Need a Fan Anymore — Tinnitus DOES Get Easier

I have no advice, I wish I did! I have struggled immensely (if you go through my history you will see how bad it got). Around one year ago I was ready to end my life because of my tinnitus, it was just so bloody exhausting. I guess I got used to it? I'm sure if I have a spike I won't be so...

I Don't Need a Fan Anymore — Tinnitus DOES Get Easier

For the last 2.5 years I've had a fan on full blast EVERY night to help block out my tinnitus so I can sleep, I even take the fan on holidays. Last night I forgot to turn it on and was perfectly fine. I didn't bother turning it on tonight, I genuinely don't give a shit anymore. My tinnitus is...

    80-Year-Old Woman's Tinnitus Went Away

Just heard a random success story from my audiologist when I was getting new custom ear plug moulds done. She had a client who suffered with tinnitus for most of her adult life and it stopped when she turned 80. She literally woke up one morning and the ringing stopped and never came back. I...
