    Frequency Therapeutics — FX-345

My understanding is it would reach 5 kHz and frequencies above. You have hearing loss above 5 kHz. You may not realize you have hearing loss because you haven't been tested to 16 kHz or 20 kHz but at least somewhere in the 20 kHz range some of your hair cells have died.

    Frequency Therapeutics — FX-345

Fair enough. It's just my view that the commenters can view different companies maybe not equivalently. I'm specially talking about all the love Decibel Therapeutics was receiving back in 2017/2018. They were taking in ton of cash yet had no interest in human testing on the horizon and were...

    Frequency Therapeutics — FX-345

I disagree with that assessment. Talking the talk would be more like promoting their product to investors and never testing it. Frequency Therapeutics injected people in their trials aka they tangibly did something.

Sorry if I missed this but did Frequency release a before and after test subject audiograms for the 8 kHz-20 kHz range? Personally, I'd love to see a large data set (say 800 patients) of before and after audiograms, particularly for the 13 kHz-20 kHz range.

So if the trial recommended limitations translates to the designed population, this device doesn't make sense. The device isn't going to improve you structurally so even if you start using the device in the acute phase over time you will have tinnitus for longer than a year. I've been a skeptic...

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

This is a result of the brain being so complicated that science still has a limited understanding of its underlining processes. This doesn't worry me for hearing restoration because while the ear structures are very tiny and inaccessible the mechanism for hearing is so simple an elementary...

Otonomy OTO-313 — Treatment of Tinnitus

Unless there have been updates on imaging you'd have to go through dissection of the ear preferably during an autopsy. FMRI techniques might provide an imaging solution though it will take minimum 6-20 years to improve to that level.

Otonomy OTO-313 — Treatment of Tinnitus

Thanks. Yea I get that NDMA isn't regenerating anything but I'm curious if someone could have some connected synapses that have no/reduced functionality but with say with this drug and its reduction in environmental inflammation mean a handful of said synapses become or improve in signal...

Otonomy OTO-313 — Treatment of Tinnitus

Has it been proven that there is no underlying structural improvement with this treatment, even very slight minor repair.

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

Can someone remind me their current plan/timeline assuming a successful Phase 2a. Will they go to a Phase 2 or 3? When would that next Phase take place and how long would it last?

More like: Susan Shore (5 years from now): "Our Phase 2 trial has been delayed 2 more years because (insert made-up irrelevant and vague excuse here), Also this device is not yet commercially available for "reasons"." World: "Tinnitus has been cured" Susan Shore: "Thank God. Now I don't have to...

Can someone summarize what we know about OTO-6XX?

ENTs solve problems??? Could have fooled me. That statement is mostly true, I get that on rare occasions they will surgically remove tumors.

    Audion Therapeutics Trial

Yea agree. The minutes response more between their own employees. The main point is that even though they aren't in the lab all employees need to be working tirelessly (labor laws be damned) to communicate their findings within the next couple weeks.

    Audion Therapeutics Trial

There is absolutely no excuse for not drafting a paper on the results due to the coronavirus. With the stay at home order they should be posting the paper well ahead of schedule. Also these scientists have email access from their homes and should be responding to emails within minutes.
