I also believe my hearing has worsened. I had previously habituated to my tinnitus, but now it feels like it has moved to a moderate level...

    If that is the case, does it mean if a drug for tinnitus/hyperacusis was created right now, it could only be available 10+ years from now, so that scientists can monitor for any side effects?

    That is so horrifying to hear. The idea of death is so scary but when people suffer the way they do, it has me thinking death might be a mercy. I don't know if I am still mild or moderate, but I really hope it never gets severe... I don't want to traumatize my family.
