Today my left ear randomly plugged up and is now very loud while my right ear is silent.

I will say this after spending an hour on my laptop my tinnitus definetly increases every time but this does not happen if using my ipad or phone.

No the ignorance can happen because certain people can go through their life listening to very loud damaging noise levels while never getting tinnitus so they dont think such a thing can happen.

Ed the mri you used looks very old which may be why the sound was the way it is. If you must have an mri call around to find mris with noise reduction technology.

Mri on monday. Pretty nervous about it even with ear plugs because its a 3T mri. Hopefully they have some sort of technology on it that can reduce the sound like the newer machines.

I am surprised there are not many threads on this. I just had very loud thunder strikes in my area and I read that thunder is 120 dB. Is this true? I mean we all know there is mild thunder and then those very loud ones that sound like a bomb just hit. Are these not to worry about?

Just assuming because the planes fly low and right over my roof. The planes sound as loud as thunder.
