    Medically Worsened Tinnitus

Hey so one more update: the ear infection Is gone but the ringing remains. I am going to try to see an ENT tommorow to see what it is but the general practitions was a possibly either chronic tinnitus or otitis media. I dont know, but I'm not going to pay attention to the ringing at all or hope...

    Is Clindamycin Ototoxic?

I have tried searching online and some sites don't say anything and other sites say it isn't. I have no idea if it is safe to take this for my ear infection.

    Medically Worsened Tinnitus

Hi! Today is the first day where the ringing got worse, I do not think it was the medication, but I cannot explain it. It got louder and it's harder to make it quieter. Any steps I can take to bring it back down if I can? Maybe patience? I have been laying down most of the day btw, with a 20...

    Medically Worsened Tinnitus

Update: I noticed something good, the ringing has taken longer to get to its point that It does through the day. It took maybe 3-4 hours! Before it would take a messily 30 mind of being awake. Another boost of confidence that this is not permanent :) I am still being cautious and looking to find...

    Medically Worsened Tinnitus

So far, it's the second day of taking the meds and I haven't noticed the ringing getting worse, and me ear infection has stopped doing the popping that it does. For now I am believing it is just the cause of the ear infection. I will not know, though, until the ear infection is completely gone...

Also, my medicine for the ear infection can take 2-3 days before the symtoms begin to have a noticable difference of subsiding, so until then I will focus on not letting it bug me, which it really hasn't that bad since I've been on these forums and reading stories and advice.

Okay I definitely wont forget this I'll keep this in mind this 4th of July and whenever we go mudding it shooting guns (yes, I live in the south lol) I'll wear ear plugs :) I definitely wouldn't want my T to get worse. Especially since the classroom Is always quiet.

    Medically Worsened Tinnitus

I've had T for a long, long time. At the worst, in a dead silent room, it was a high pitched ring, very faint. It's never gotten worse either. The only time I would hear ringing worse than that is when I had an ear infection. Then the ear infection would go away and all would return to normal...

    Medically Worsened Tinnitus

I just turned the tv down about 10 notches, from 30 to 20 (not a very high level) and I can still drown it out and focus on the movie. I'm going to keep stepping it down maybe to prepare for the night

    Medically Worsened Tinnitus

Okay, I don't have a hearing aid so I can't do none of that, but if the ringing is slightly louder than the tv I can easily drown it out. Maybe I need to turn the tv down and see if I can still get the same affect. I'll post a reply soon One more thing, during the night I have slight insomnia...
