Hey all! Back in February of this year I tried going on Zoloft 50 mg for anxiety and OCD. I developed hyperacusis after only two days. I stopped on the 3rd day, but have been dealing with hyperacusis ever since. It has gotten a lot better so I decided to try it again! Lol. Welp! Again, day...

I still haven't picked up my prescription yet. Still on the fence with this.

This stuff can also give you permanent post-SSRI sexual dysfunction from what I've been reading up on. Yikes! My doctor just prescribed me 50 mg to try for my hyperacusis. I haven't picked it up yet from the pharmacy.

Miss going to the movies!

Had two sets back this week. Did not think that dropping your shoes in the hallway woud have any effect. Normal human actions, right? lol.

I had a minor setback this week. Out of nowhere, my co-worker decided to fire off one of those confetti cannons about 8 feet from my bad ear. Talk about disappointment/freak accident. Earplugs are always in my pocket just in case. Appreciate the advice! :)

Update - It's been about a week since I moved. Peace and quiet! :beeranimation: Anxiety is almost non existent now. I haven't had the need to wear earplugs at all lately. I kind of just forgot about the hyperacusis. Paper or plastic is still bothersome. Speech from others, no more discomfort...

Good news! I saw my ENT this week. Hearing is above normal. He said to give it time to heal. I'm moving to a new home in two weeks with zero road noise! Still waiting on my Westones, apparently they are running behind a few weeks.

The ones I have are currently silicon plugs. The Westones are still on order for another 2 weeks.
