Very Severe Tinnitus — No Sleep for 3 Days — What Can the Hospital Do? Put Me in a Coma?

I had a few episodes of seeing bright flashes of light, sleep paralysis, and brain zaps while I was asleep. They subsided over time. Don’t know what caused it. Best to just not think about it. I sleep like a baby usually now.

Is It True Some Members Cured Their Reactive Tinnitus with Keppra or Other Seizure Medications?

Is it true some members here cured their reactive tinnitus and hyperacusis with Keppra and/or other seizure medications? My neurologist prescribed it to me but I don’t have insurance. So it’s $800 for one bottle. I don’t have that kind of money at all. I’m hesitant to sell my possessions for...

Please, I Need Help and Encouragement. Can't See Any Hope and Don't Know What to Do.

I am in the exact same boat as you. For me it has been 6 months since I’ve left my home. My parents also do not understand at all. I’ve cut off contact with my sister. Save your energy on arguing with them. I don’t have any advice on how to make them understand besides just choose your...

The Tinnitus Euthanasia Story of Gaby Olthuis — Questions for Interview with Her Mother

I am like Gaby and losing hope. I’ve read a lot on her story. Her tinnitus and hyperacusis is very similar to mine. But exact in severity. I’m 23. Though I also have visual snow and brain zaps. I just want to know if she ever tried any form of TRT or sound therapy. I know it’s a joke therapy...

    Spending Christmas Alone

I’ve spent the last 2 years worth of holidays alone. And I’m 23. It only bothered me on New Year’s Eve. That was hard. But I try to tell myself it’s just a man made milestone. And it’s worth missing those experiences to recover my health. So that one day I’ll be able to go.....well anywhere...

Your Questions for Dr. Josef Rauschecker Interview

My reactive tinnitus gets so loud that I can’t hear my own voice sometimes. And the sounds come from my head moreso than my ears. And then it usually goes back down once I’m in a quiet room again. I thought I was the only one but it seems there’s a lot of us out here. For me, my reactive...

    Zoe Cartwright — Reactive Tinnitus

My reactive tinnitus is spot on to this video (except for the underwater scene... I’ve never heard a sound like that). Supposedly Zoe Cartwright has had very loud reactive tinnitus like this for 10 years. And has thrived :) But does anyone know how she is now? I can’t find her social media...

That’s why I struggle with cellphones still. But I’m okay listening to the tv now. It took a few months but I’m generally okay at a low volume. I can’t go outside though. And car vibrations are a bitch for me still.
