Anxiety, Severe Hearing Loss + Severe Tinnitus

I think I am as habituated as I can get with my kind of tinnitus. I have several different tones and sounds going on, and they all tend to shift in pitch and volume through the day. There are days it drives me mad, but I have to say, there are more of the days I don't care at all about it. I...

Anxiety, Severe Hearing Loss + Severe Tinnitus

Hi there! I am doing quite OK with my anxiety, but my tinnitus is still bothering me pretty much every single day. Some days are better than others and I do what I can to distract my mind from it by exercising, taking walks, meditating and so on. Find comfort in the fact that it does get...

Share Your Coronavirus (COVID-19) Vaccine Experience: Any Impact on Your Tinnitus or Hyperacusis?

First; I have had a mix of Pfizer (26th of June) and Moderna (31st of September). I reported my experience with the first dose of Pfizer earlier in this thread, and I will now address the second dose by Moderna. First 48 hours I had intense pain in the arm, nausea and some slight head ache...

Head/Body Movement Spikes Tinnitus in One Ear

I´ll keep updating this thread in case someone experiences the same thing. The last couple of days there has been some changes in the intensity of the sound. I have to move my head/neck more than before before I hear it and it has become a little weaker. I got the 2nd dose of COVID-19 vaccine...

Head/Body Movement Spikes Tinnitus in One Ear

The noise came back again during sleep and woke me up about 02:00 am. Not sure what to think, but there must be some muscle or neck related issue to this. It feels almost as if a tiny muscle in my ear is tense or irritated in some way. It takes very little movement in my neck to "activate" it...

Head/Body Movement Spikes Tinnitus in One Ear

I got back from chiropractor. After 3 hours, the tinnitus in question is gone again. I wonder how long it will last this time  I have a mid-range hearing loss yes, it runs in my family and we are about 6-7 with hearing aids because of this. None of the other members are suffering from...

Head/Body Movement Spikes Tinnitus in One Ear

I started seeing a chiropractor and he did some manipulation on my neck. I will have to ask him about doing an X ray. The beep beep beep from 2018 is gone. This specific part of my 4 different sounds is only affected by head/neck movement and only in one ear. Chewing, yawning or any other...

Head/Body Movement Spikes Tinnitus in One Ear

So, anyone with this kind of tinnitus? For the last 2 weeks I have been experiencing this in my left ear and I am clueless as to what causes it. My tinnitus spikes during movement of head from side to side, like shaking my head, and when I run or jog. When I nod my head or keep my head and...

Share Your Coronavirus (COVID-19) Vaccine Experience: Any Impact on Your Tinnitus or Hyperacusis?

It has been one month since my first shot of Pzifer. I had some minor fatigue and some increase in my tinnitus the following days. Currently I am feeling fine and in good shape. All through yesterday and today my tinnitus acted kinda weird and different. If I turn my head quickly from side to...

Share Your Coronavirus (COVID-19) Vaccine Experience: Any Impact on Your Tinnitus or Hyperacusis?

I received my first dose of Pfizer one week ago. First days I felt nothing but a sore arm, but from day 3 I have been feeling fatigued, tired and a little nauseous from time to time. My tinnitus spiked today, and I have been experiencing a slight sensation of hyperacusis the last couple of days...

    My Tinnitus Is Suddenly Worsening

Hi there! Actually I dont know what type of genetic hearing loss I suffer from. All I know is that my great grandfather had it, probably gave the mutation to his daughter (my grandmother) and she passed it on to my father and 3 of his brothers. The hearing loss is often called cookie-bite loss...

    My Tinnitus Is Suddenly Worsening

I have a genetic hearing loss that causes my hearing to gradually get worse, I'm about 50-60% deaf now at age 40. But, my father, has the same condition, and at nearly 75 he "never" experienced tinnitus, even though he's been working on noisy construction-sites all his life. He is nearly deaf...

    My Tinnitus Is Suddenly Worsening

Hi there @LilSass Thank you for taking time sending me your support and thoughts :) Being a long-time tinnitus sufferer, I am pretty sure you will be coping better than you do right now. Seven months is a long time in general, but not that long when it comes to habituation and tinnitus. May I...

    My Tinnitus Is Suddenly Worsening

@morgothaod Wish I did have an ear infection, that would have been a good reason for this spike. But no, I get my ears regularly checked up when I visit my audiologist. I think this is stress induced in combination with poor sleeping pattern over time.
