NeuroMed Tinnitus Program — Founded by Dr. Hamid Djalilian

If I recall correctly, the main symptoms that indicated I would be a good candidate for their treatment were that my tinnitus was fluctuating and reactive. I did not end up trying the Nortriptyline/Topamax protocol, but I did follow—and continue to follow—the nutraceutical protocol. For what...

Deciding Whether to Quit My Gym and Opt for a Quieter One Because of Tinnitus

Hi @lillieg, I hope you are doing well! I read your other post about your symptoms, and ultimately, I think you should do what you feel most comfortable with. Personally, if you can tolerate going to your boutique fitness studio and you get a lot out of it, I'd keep going, especially if it...

    Five Year "Anniversary"

Hi all, I wanted to share a follow up to my previous success story. About six months ago, my tinnitus worsened significantly after attending a concert. In hindsight, I believe it was a combination of factors leading up to that unprotected concert: a weekend of loud networking events, coupled...

Happy (USA) Thanksgiving, TT community! Learned from my dad today he has had tinnitus for several years and his got worse from Covid. Sure would have been nice to know from him several years ago 😂. Nice to have a family member who knows what it’s like, though.

I took this year’s flu and Covid boosters on Thursday afternoon. My tinnitus was spiked a bit Thursday night and Friday, but today (Saturday) it is back to my baseline. I’m grateful for health care that protects me from getting seriously ill from viruses!

Maybe how you put it, "incredibly intrusive yet subjectively less emotionally reactive" is a good way to put it, because I somehow turned a corner the last couple months and now even if I hear it in certain places, it doesn't bug me as much. I'm hopeful "worsening" is actually more like a...

Went to a Timberwolves game and stayed for the whole thing for the first time in months. Wore heavy duty plugs, didn't have any serious after-effects. Feels good.

NeuroMed Tinnitus Program — Founded by Dr. Hamid Djalilian

Hey @ErikaS! The one I take daily is from FullScript, which is the store NeuroMed provides a discount to (image attached). I take two capsules daily. The key for me is two, which seems to be OK without upsetting my stomach. It is not labeled here on the picture, but each capsule is 240 mg...

NeuroMed Tinnitus Program — Founded by Dr. Hamid Djalilian

In my earlier post in this thread, I summed up what I followed for the first couple of months in the protocol. I definitely did make dietary changes for the first couple of months, followed the recommended supplement protocol for about the recommended period before starting to feel better, and...

NeuroMed Tinnitus Program — Founded by Dr. Hamid Djalilian

I haven’t been doing anything particularly new over the last couple of months. I made some dietary changes over the summer but have mostly discontinued those. I realized that any potential benefits from changes, like skipping my morning coffee, were far outweighed by the enjoyment I get from it...

NeuroMed Tinnitus Program — Founded by Dr. Hamid Djalilian

Hey there! So I never started on any of the Nortriptyline/Topamax and I've over the past couple of weeks stopped on the CoQ10 and Riboflaven. I haven't experienced any really troubling tinnitus symptoms now since early-to-mid August. I am not sure if I can attribute that to the nutriceuticals...

Sorry to hear @Kumashi -- yes I have just been doing the vitamin side since end of June very diligently. Still waiting for more info on if I do the Nor/Top protocol--specifically their published trial results. FWIW whether it's been natural improvement or the vitamin + lifestyle has helped but...
