Contact the ATA Right Now — 3 Minutes to Make a Difference

@Watasha - I would leave a message on social media but I'm old school and I don't think they get it. To me everything the ATA does should be about funding good research. I had an opinion of them from the start. When my tinnitus first started I called them. They didn't answer their phone...

Contact the ATA Right Now — 3 Minutes to Make a Difference

No checks and balances with the ATA. I left a message on phone, they never called me back. They can't even answer the basics. And when their phone messages are only asking for money, that is not good.

Episode 17: Tinnitus, Ingrained in the Brain? — Prof. Dirk De Ridder

@tommyd87 - my point is doctors would not give me hearing aids with no hearing loss, but there are hearing aids w/ maskers for tinnitus and they would not sell me them either. Episode 17: Tinnitus, Ingrained in the Brain? — Prof. Dirk De Ridder

I don't think of hearing aids as the cure, I think of it as a sound enrichment. It helps hearing, but not much with tinnitus. When I first acquired tinnitus, all I read was suggestions to get hearing aids. So I looked into it and I went to 3 ear doctors and had 3 audiograms. All showed the...
