  • Tinnitus is becoming more high pitched in left ear. Right ear developed a low hum/roar.
Waking up to loud T... hopeless.

I send you a lot of support. You can do this!

I have T in both my ears now.

Firstly, I had my T in my right ear and one month later the left one has been affected too for no reason. It comes and goes in my case. So do not worry, I don't think anything serious happened! Hang on :)
Lately my tinnitus has been changing alot. Why?

The mystery of T. Mine does all the time :(

For the better or is it worsening?

Who knows, many people say it's good. I too think that a constant, unrelenting tone for example has less chance to go away. But that's just a hunch
T is screaming loud right now after a family gathering. Earfullness is there and my friend H of course. Hopeless.

@HeavyMantra It is what you have. If your tinnitus reacts to the sound and certain kind of food and drinks, that is reactive tinnitus. Better stop listening to music if it spikes your tinnitus as it wll be bad in the long run. Your ears need rest. For some people, nothing spikes their tinnitus, and I am lucky to be one of them. Hope you get better soon.

Never reacts to anything but music. And always the day after. I get the same spikes without music, but I always get them the day after music. I just don't know why music spikes it, I expose myself to way louder sounds without problems.

I got my old life back 8 months after the onset. Major improvement came at 23 month mark. Nowadays, after 31 months, it has become a wisper that I don't even know is there. Sometimes I hear it in bed but most of the time it is complete silence. Hang in there, tinnitus usually lose it's grip over time.
Two months in and greatly suffering. I miss my silence, and I honestly don't know how to deal with this anymore.

I'm 15 months in and it has gotten better, perhaps not the noise but my reaction to it. Use masking to get your mind off of it and give it some more time. Do what you can to make it through the day, don't think about today or tomorrow what can you do to make it through today.

It's just that I see zero improvement. It remains the same, and I hear multiply sounds, not just a ringing or so. This is a nightmare for me. I do what I can to get through the day, but it's hard. This is not a life anymore.

It takes time Mymlan. There are many on this site, myself included, who were right where you are at two months. If you go to my first post and follow the thread you can see how long it took to start moving forward but the key is eventually you will start moving forward.
