@Ultraviolet87 I feel like I’m in the same boat as you... I was distressed, felt better, and now I feel horrible again. Also my tinnitus has changed in tones and fluctuates a lot as well... I’m almost 4 months in. I’m praying a miracle happens...
@kyles yes this is my first time with tinnitus after a loud exposure... it was from a very loud car alarm that played indoor. Although I used to go clubbing a lot but never encountered tinnitus.
I also have no hearing loss and I’m age 29.
As for masking at night I sometimes play nature...
@kyles glad your tinnitus went away! Gives me some hope. I’m pretty sure mine was from acoustic shock/trauma as well... but it’s been 3 months :/
So what was the process of yours going away?? Did it gradually fade? What were the tones you were hearing from when you first got it till now? Did...
@Blossom that’s great to hear! I’m currently at the buzzing/hissing stage... although I sometimes hear the pure tone here and there. It even sounds squeaky sometimes. It has a mind of its own. I really just want it to completely disappear.
@Zud it was long, thanks for reading! And thanks for the advice...
It’s hard to enjoy watching films because I hear the tinnitus along with whatever I’m watching.
So how long did it take for it to disappear the first time?? And how did it come back? Do you go out with ear protection?? Sorry...
@Alfred87 that's good to hear. Mine still spikes to external noises, also it’s louder at night and soft in the morning. It fluctuates in tone as well... I just want this to go away.
@starrynights yes it’s definitely louder in the afternoon-night. I wake up with it a little softer and it progresses during the day. Past couple of days it’s like a buzzy/hissy sound.
I wonder if mine is caused by clenching as well... I catch myself doing it but I fell no pain in the jaws...
@twa I heard that too but it’s inconsistent... it goes back to ringing or a pure tone. It fluctuates so much and I get spikes from noises. I’m praying too!
