I am retired, and a caretaker for my wife. I have had hearing problems off and on in my right ear, and for the past year or so, constant tinnitus in my right ear. My hearing has also diminished in my right ear as conversations are jumbled when using only my right ear. Left ear hearing is compensating well at this point.
Considering a cochlear implant, and weighing my options as far as therapy, surgery, surgery+therapy, etc. Anxious to communicate with others that are currently in a similar boat, or who have taken action and how that worked for them.
Hoping to make new friends and learn as much as I can about this hearing affliction.
