New University of Michigan Tinnitus Discovery — Signal Timing

It's a speculation that Dr. Shore will publish the initial results in mid 2020s. I remember reading the below post in 2019. Here's the screenshot:

Yep. The stress and anxiety sometimes stay with me, even if my bad Tinnitus days are long over.. That's the worst part of it all, really.

New University of Michigan Tinnitus Discovery — Signal Timing

We hope that the currently on-going 2nd trial will be the last one for Susan Shore device. I think it started in Autumn 2018 and is hoped to finish by the end of 2020. However, Susan Shore is said to publish the initial results of this clinical trial in a matter of weeks or few months. I'm excited.

Tinnitus from AirPods — Scared They Caused a Tumor (from the Radiation)

I've never heard of anyone getting tumor from using headphones/earphones. In my opinion, it could be continuous sound exposure or acoustic trauma that has caused your tinnitus. But, it could be something else, like medications, or cleaning your ears with ear buds... Maybe you have ear infection...

    Suicidal

For example, not everyone can change the negative way that they perceive tinnitus, but they may be able to change the way they view the life and how they experience life, regardless of how much they hate having tinnitus.

    Suicidal

Sorry for writing about me all the time, I have no idea in what other words can I put this :D People used to get Tinnitus like thousands years ago.. The amount of hearing loss and Tinnitus sufferers, keeps increasing every year. That's why I should never lose hope.. These issues won't be...

New Trial: An fMRI investigation of the Effects of Lidocaine on Tinnitus

I don't think there are many people (If any) who have injected cocaine into their ears. I'm not saying it's a good idea, but maybe in the future, the scientists will find out if injecting numbing stuff into your ears, would silence tinnitus. I guess, we have to wait for the results of this...

    My Posting Place

Give me some pills that will stop my tinnitus from worsening, and I won't even need a cure or further treatment... Anyway, with the big amount of clinical trials being done about hearing loss and tinnitus, I think it's irrational to be skeptic, unless you are unwilling to wait for the trial...

Why Is Tinnitus Not More Common? Loud Bars, Concerts, Restaurants...

The number of hearing loss and tinnitus sufferers, unfortunately keeps growing, every year. The scientists are currently testing different pills and ear injections to see if they will be able to regenerate hair cells. It's speculated that when you successfully regenerate a hair cell in the...

Why Is Tinnitus Not More Common? Loud Bars, Concerts, Restaurants...

I agree with Shaz. I think that low frequency sounds are often more dangerous than high frequency sounds because high frequency sounds can't penetrate through objects very well. But, it's all about the sound waves which reverberate the air particles, and they cause a little explosion in your...

Why Is Tinnitus Not More Common? Loud Bars, Concerts, Restaurants...

I haven't read through all the posts in this thread yet, but here is my 2 cents. Tinnitus is often a result of acoustic trauma, or it's caused by accumulative damage to your hearing system. When you're young, you tend to experience temporary tinnitus when you're laying in bed at night. If you...

Hello. In Loving Memory of Allan1967

Dear Allan, Maybe we have exchanged a few kind words on one of the Tinnitus Talk support threads. You look exactly as kind and as generous as I have imagined you from reading your posts in the last 5 months. It makes me cry how good and strong a person you were, despite the difficulties in life...
