It's a speculation that Dr. Shore will publish the initial results in mid 2020s. I remember reading the below post in 2019. Here's the screenshot:

New University of Michigan Tinnitus Discovery — Signal Timing

We hope that the currently on-going 2nd trial will be the last one for Susan Shore device. I think it started in Autumn 2018 and is hoped to finish by the end of 2020. However, Susan Shore is said to publish the initial results of this clinical trial in a matter of weeks or few months. I'm excited.

Tinnitus from AirPods — Scared They Caused a Tumor (from the Radiation)

I've never heard of anyone getting tumor from using headphones/earphones. In my opinion, it could be continuous sound exposure or acoustic trauma that has caused your tinnitus. But, it could be something else, like medications, or cleaning your ears with ear buds... Maybe you have ear infection...

New Trial: An fMRI investigation of the Effects of Lidocaine on Tinnitus

I don't think there are many people (If any) who have injected cocaine into their ears. I'm not saying it's a good idea, but maybe in the future, the scientists will find out if injecting numbing stuff into your ears, would silence tinnitus. I guess, we have to wait for the results of this...

Why Is Tinnitus Not More Common? Loud Bars, Concerts, Restaurants...

Why Is Tinnitus Not More Common? Loud Bars, Concerts, Restaurants...

I agree with Shaz. I think that low frequency sounds are often more dangerous than high frequency sounds because high frequency sounds can't penetrate through objects very well. But, it's all about the sound waves which reverberate the air particles, and they cause a little explosion in your...

Why Is Tinnitus Not More Common? Loud Bars, Concerts, Restaurants...

I haven't read through all the posts in this thread yet, but here is my 2 cents. Tinnitus is often a result of acoustic trauma, or it's caused by accumulative damage to your hearing system. When you're young, you tend to experience temporary tinnitus when you're laying in bed at night. If you...

New Trial: An fMRI investigation of the Effects of Lidocaine on Tinnitus

Hey. I have foam ear plugs that seem to block out about 30-35 decibels. Can molded ear plugs be as effective in sound blocking, or not? for me, it looks like foam ear plugs fit much tighter to the ear, therefore they seem to block out the most sound.
