Its definatley worth seeing ENT, they may do an MRI scan , they did with me and it showed a benign tumour leaning on a nerve to the ear, although they do say that the tinnitus was probably due to playing in bands for years.

I have beenm told its genetic, that worries me that one of my kids will get it, lets all hope for a cure.

I found it helps me to get to sleep,but taking sleeping tab too, but dont find it does much during the day.

Definitely have an MRI. I did and it showed a benign tumor which is causing it.
