    Hyperacusis Temporarily Worsened by Ketamine

So I'll be a little more personal than usual. I tried Ketamine lozenge 100 mg for chronic pain. I noticed my sound sensitivity and then later hyperacusis (there was construction noise outside) got worse. I was also on another drug that technically could affect hyperacusis. It was about two...

What dosages are you taking? I am on day two and I notice that when it kicks in my tinnitus gets a bit louder and then drops back off again. I also have that same effect when taking any benzos.

Tinnitus and Mild Hyperacusis After 3-4 Seconds Loud Noise Exposure (Accidental Audio Feedback)

A good part of preventing hyperacusis once you already have it isn't being concerned about actual noise damage. Your ears are already abnormal the usual limits on decibels aren't really going to apply. You're concerned about if your ears are going to find a sound threatening or not. I find...

Tinnitus and Mild Hyperacusis After 3-4 Seconds Loud Noise Exposure (Accidental Audio Feedback)

I'm not talking about sound masking your tinnitus. I'm talking about using nature sounds to get your ears more used to noise.

Detrimental Effects of Road Trips on Tinnitus and Hyperacusis?

I think the quietness of the hearing protection makes you perceive the tinnitus more and therefore you're much more attuned to it once you remove the hearing protection as well.

Tinnitus and Mild Hyperacusis After 3-4 Seconds Loud Noise Exposure (Accidental Audio Feedback)

I was once in your shoes. So here's my advice. In my opinion the hyperacusis is much more pressing of an issue than the tinnitus. In most cases tinnitus you can get used to. Hyperacusis can snowball very quickly each setback while your ears are too sensitive will push your condition further and...
