Set My Fire Alarm Off, Damnit — The Incident Has Spiked My Tinnitus

Yeah, I accidentally burnt some oil. I half forgot that the stove was turned on I'm not adult enough to adult  Luckily the spike has calmed down today. I'm so relieved that no permanent damage was done.

Set My Fire Alarm Off, Damnit — The Incident Has Spiked My Tinnitus

I accidentally set my fire alarm of while I was making dinner (don't know what that says about my cooking skills, hah.) Unfortunately the incident has spiked my tinnitus. Not to an unbearable level but loud enough to be more bothersome than it was before. Damn it. I have been doing so good the...

I Can Sit without Masking — So Happy

Since my tinnitus spiked in August 2017 I haven't been able to do anything without masking my tinnitus. It would get on my nerves, trigger me and make me angry or sad. But my spike has gradually faded and I have gotten used to the fact that I can now hear my tinnitus more than I could before...

No Longer Convinced My Tinnitus Is Entirely Noise-Induced

So. I have always just assumed that my tinnitus is noise induced due to the fact that I have been stupid enough to go to a lot of hard rock concerts without earplugs. My tinnitus didn't appear after a concert though but appeared suddenly from a fleeting tinnitus experience that didn't go away...

Tinnitus Going Away! B12 Was Deficient

Oh this is nice to know. I started taking vitamin B not long ago because I have started eating mostly vegetarian. And I was afraid that my vitamin B levels would get too low, though my doctor told me anything but my vitamin D levels looked perfectly fine last time I got a blood test done. But I...

I Don't Believe 20% of People Have Tinnitus

The stats I have read says between 15 - 20% but that only 3% of those are bothered by their T in such a way that it damages their quality of life. So I suppose the reason why the stats seems to high is that it is only a small amount of People with T who is actually bothered or harmed by it :)

Tinnitus Always Constant Throughout My Life, Now It's Unbelievably Loud

Same thing happened to me last year. I never really figured out what caused it but my guess is that it was tense neck - and jaw muscles from being stressed out. And probably also being too careless around noise. But it has gotten way better now that my neck - and jaw muscles aren't that tense...

    Tinnitus' Weird Ways

So. I got another spike in my tinnitus the other day and I really don't know what caused it. I wasn't near any loud noises at the time. It was just one of those fleeting tinnitus experiences that never really faded entirely. It was the same way my tinnitus started. I haven't got a clue to what...

    Floaters

I think I have had them my entire life without really knowing there was a name for them. I kinda assumed it was a normal thing I guess. Anyhow they never really bother me anyway. I never really notice them :D

How Do You Cope with Tinnitus?

Mostly I just try to get on with my life the best that I can and do stuff that makes me happy. Seeing my friends, competing and attending poetry slam competition, spending time with my family and so on. I know it's damn hard but in the end that's what got me back on track again because I had...

Poll: Was Your Tinnitus Onset Sudden or Gradual?

My T is a "fleeting T" that just never went away. I still haven't figured out why it decided to stay at that particular day, as I have had experiences of fleeting T my entire life. But I suppose it's some kind of gradual noise damage that caught up with me in the end.
