  • I don't know how I can keep carrying on. There's too many loud noises. Everyday no matter what I do I accidentally run into one.

Me too. I'm moving to a quieter place and will mostly be staying at home for a year at least.
I hate the drivers in this area today. It's not just one but CONSTANT barrage of cars revving their engines...in a 5mph shopping center. why
Just a reminder: sugar free gum/soda is ototoxic if it is sweetened with aspartame!

I'm not going to avoid every drug on the list or I'd never get help for my other problems. I was reading through it and was surprised aspartame was on it. Figured no one scrolls down past the medicine section.

Some people on here don't take NSAIDs because they're ototoxic. The safety of aspartame is often called into question. It's enough for me but I don't have a soda/gum addiction.

If you're talking about addiction that's another debate :) I also believe addiction to soda can be dangerous, and not only for the potential ototoxicity of aspartam

At this point i might as well just not eat anything =[
Being trapped in sorrow and constantly thinking about your condition(s) gets tiring. For me, I feel numb but that doesn't mean I am happy.
Amazing. I'm astonished how quiet my tinnitus has been in the face of all this hyperacusis, TTTS, and visual snow. What does it mean??
Got my ears manually cleaned. I will let you all know later how my T and H is doing.

Left ear is good. Right still has pressure feeling from this morning. Unlike the left we couldn't get all the wax out. Voice is echoey also. Moderate tinnitus in right. I will try to get the remainder out with debrox.

Vertigo from post-ear cleaning gone. My home is relatively quiet so T is noticeable but appears to be baseline. Still feel clogged though, especially when I try to talk which still sounds echoey.

Understandably there is ear pain. It was not a gentle process.
Shouldn't we acknowledge that as tinnitus sufferers we are destined to get worse unless we are extremely lucky?
If I have to be honest, I get rather annoyed by the amount of thread necroing on this forum. If the last post was 2+ years ago,why reply?
Cancelling tomorrow's ENT visit was a big mistake.Fleeting tinnitus and immediate spike immediately upon laying down? no way my eardrum's ok
    I hate where I live. Mon=dying smoke detector, Tues=lawn mowers, Wed=leaf blowers, Thurs=garbage truck...Shut up! I want sleep!
Trying to discern if I perforated my eardrum or not. Ugh. I really am not in the emotional state to deal with this.
My l.ear is completely clogged to the point of putting pressure on my ear drum.I really want to use some debrox but am scared of perforation
Today I I watch a documentary with SO at near zero volume. Ate a yogurt. Took a nap. Dark out now. I wish it was 2 weeks ago.
Went outside to focus but airplanes sounds bother me.A couple of little girls asked,"Are you okay?" "Yeah."Not really but thanks for asking.
This cold spike has been the loudest spike I've ever had, worse than spiking from a fire alarm. Seems quieter upon waking up, hope it stays.

Back to being loud an hour later? Cool.
Sigh. Mild ear pain all day. Not related to H. Guess I might have an ear infection
I've been exposed to so many loud noises this trip, I don't know if I will ever recover. Sad thing is, I haven't done anything not normal.
I feel I can't do the things that will help my cp because it will also hurt my T
