Feeling of Ear Fullness After a Bad Tinnitus Spike?

Likely middle ear muscle tension. Nothing much to do about. A couple of glasses of whiskey would help for a while.

Going to a Concert with Tinnitus — Best Advice?

2 hours 103db... You'd be very lucky not to get any damage. It will be very dependent ob the size of the venue and location of seats. If it's big and you're on the balcony, you'd probably be able to avoid worsening. On the other hand if you're close, your protection is irrelevant and it can get...

Unable to Sleep — I'm Waking Up Every Hour or Two — Tried Melatonin, Natural Remedies, Teas

When i couldn't sleep for 3 days straight and nothing mundane was working for me, i got clonazepam prescription. Took 1mg before bed for a month. I got 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep from the first time i took it. Melatonin and herbals were doing nothing for me as well - 1 or 2 hours of sleep...

Trying to Explain Tinnitus to Disability Employment

I don't think trying to explain what you have is a good approach to this. I just informed my boss during the first meeting that i have ear damage and i can't take loud noises and that i can't participate in whatever events or situations involving loud noises due to my condition, which is a...

Talking Tinnitus — a U.K. Expo in Birmingham on Saturday, 15th September, 2018

It's a pity there will be no videos of the talks available. May be someone of the attendees will find a possibility to record if not video but audio? Would be very much appreciated.

    Fullness in Right Ear

You can mask fullness if you'd wear large monitor type headphones. You can use plugs as well but even very quiet tinnitus becomes hard to bear then. Can't talk anything about cause of your fullness. Mine is from noise. If it was there prior to using of eyedrops then how could they possibly...

For Those with Middle Ear Myoclonus...

I wanted to try it, but it didn't pass certification in my country so I'd need to import it. Good thing I'm working in pharma buisness now so I can get any drug there is which did pass it without bothering with prescriptions. I started to use another muscle relaxant called tolperisone recently...

For Those with Middle Ear Myoclonus...

I have very strong and constant feeling of pressure behind the eardum and sometimes clicking, but not often. I have tried intramuscular injections of magnesium and it helps somewhat as long as it lasts. For me the fullness doesn't go away completely, but I have a severe case with multiple...

Tinnitus and Other Symptoms After Antibiotic (Zithromax). Please Help!

Hi. I've got my T from loud noises, but I don't have detectable hearing loss either. Audiograms only test to about 4khz usually, I believe? They test only the range of frequencies where everyday sounds mediate. High frequency audiograms go a bit higher than that, but still don't span over the...

    Any New Hopeful Treatments?

I recall there is a final testing going on of an esketamine nasal spray which reportedly works wonders on depression, including cases where conservative treatments failed. It doesn't share that bucket of side effects of other antidepressants and has little of its own...

Did Anyone Else Have Ear Fullness Last for Months After Acoustic Trauma?

I had more than a dozen fillings and a crown done over last two years. Nothing adverse so far. For me food doesn't affect it. Stress and fatigue - they do.

    Dropped a Metal Shower Head

If you're panicking and exhausted you can get an increase in loudness simply from that. You take clonazepam and still can't sleep? How much do you take? Why you're taking Prednisone and Betahistine? Were you prescribed that or smth? Do you actually have hearing loss? The events you described...

    Dropped a Metal Shower Head

Really doubt it. Your T may change a tone or new tone may appear, but most likely this will mean that your T is of reactive type and not that there was any damage sustained.

Thinking About It 90% of Time

With time you forget how it was to live without tinnitus. Years on and it becomes part of the environment, you just get used to it. Hard to believe, but that's how it is for most.

Did Anyone Else Have Ear Fullness Last for Months After Acoustic Trauma?

I had exposure to noise recently and my fullness spiked again along with tinnitus. Fullness is very bad now. Given that it's 24/7 for me and previously had never resolved, I'm considering futher options now like carbamazepine, anesthetic injections into wisdom teeth locations from dental office...
