    N-Acetylcysteine (NAC)

When we talk about NAC, what is the difference between N-Acetyl-L-Carnitine and N-Acetylcysteine?

Did your brother suffer from tinnitus already though? I think mine has worsened a little unfortunately.

Ototoxicity (Aminoglycosides, in Particular Gentamicin) and Tinnitus

Hi all, I had a cystoscopy yesterday and it was only when I was on the operating table that the anaesthetist told me he was going to be give me an antibiotic. When I asked which one because I had tinnitus, he said Gentamicin and gave it to me anyway. Currently I don't feel like it has worsened...

    Antibiotics? Tinnitus Spikes?

No I didn’t get my tinnitus from Doxycycline, but a recent encounter with Doxycycline caused my tinnitus to spike and it took a good 3 months to calm down. Then in November I went to a loud club and my new earplugs didn’t fit properly and protect me as they should, so that spiked my tinnitus...

Are AirPods Pro Safe for NON-Noise-Induced Tinnitus?

OMG, I got the new AirPods Pro 2’s and even from the setting up process they badly spiked my tinnitus - I now have a strange ear pressure feeling in my left ear so I’m sending them back. These things are dangerous and should be avoided at all costs!

I guess the question is what do I do now? My GP is sending me to an audiologist and I’m wondering if I should...

I’m 3 weeks on from loud noise exposure in a club when my new super custom fit earplugs didn’t fit properly and now I’m in a really bad spike :-(

I think you are right. I had hoped high db level earplugs would allow me to but perhaps not. It’s terrible at the moment I wonder if I am stuck with it like this :-((

I’ve been to the club before and it’s been ok but this was the first time with filtered ear plugs and one didn’t fit properly. I usually have a hiss type tinnitus but this is now more tonal and has not settled. It’s been just over a fortnight now :-(
