    Can iPods Cause Tinnitus?

@Travie808 It is possible to develop tinnitus from listening to music through headphones or earphones. But it is definitely a positive sign that your hearing tests show no hearing loss. If I were you I would try melatonin as a sleep aid which could be helpful. Tinnitus is unpredictable and it...

Success with 3 Things (LLLT, Arches Tinnitus Formula, Pycnogenol)

@linearb just wanted to say it is encouraging for you to say that within this time frame (the first few months I am assuming) it is likely that tinnitus will improve. I am one month into this and looking for all the hopeful posts I can find!

Let Me Get This Straight — Are These My Only Options?

@Aschenherz try to stay positive my friend. there is no cure as I'm sure you are aware by now. however this does not mean that your tinnitus will not significantly reduce over time and fade into the background. hopefully it greatly reduces and your brain tunes it out. try to avoid silent rooms...

    Tinnitus Suddenly Louder

In my opinion it is the cold. Colds cause an inflammation of the sinuses which can put pressure on Eustachian tube. It can take several weeks for the tinnitus increase to subside. I would try to relax though because in my opinion this is only a temporary increase that will subside within a few weeks

Getting Extra Ringing Sound with Other Sounds? Tinnitus or Hyperacusis or What?

@al3xisnic0le it is very likely the congestion. when you are congested it causes any tinnitus to increase in general because of the inflammation in the sinuses. also as you said it is very possible you are simply perceiving is as louder due to your focus on it. try your best to focus on other...

So I Just Got Back from the Doctors...

@alyssalee97 they could potentially give you prednisone if it is nosie induced but the best thing you can do is rest your ears for the next few months. Manage your anxiety and try not to focus on the ringing sound. It may be helpful to sleep with a fan/White nosie machine on. You have good...

    High Pitch Ring to Hiss

@racerfish since the tinnitus has only been noticeable for the past month I have been very careful to protect my ears. Hopefully this will increase chances of recovery. If I'm lucky enough to have the tinnitus disappear/significantly reduce I will be sure to take your advice and always protect...

    High Pitch Ring to Hiss

Personally I am still only one month into the tinnitus so I am still hoping it will go away or at least reduce to barely audible levels. Time will tell

    High Pitch Ring to Hiss

@RudyL90 thanks for your thoughts. It's encouraging to know that your friend had it completely dissipate after four months. As you said tinnitus is unpredictable and it's best to not constantly monitor it. Obviously, I break that rule occasionally but I try my best to not worry about it...

Help Me Please! A Few Hours Ago I Noticed an Extremely High-Pitched Ringing

@al3xisnic0le well first off do everything you can to reduce your anxiety. do what you would normally do to relax and that will at least get your mind partially focused on another stimulus. do not sit in a silent room listening to your ears ring as this will only cause more anxiety which will...

    Noise Induced Tinnitus

@Michael Leigh @maltese these are some encouraging posts for me. I am roughly one month into the tinnitus and reading this thread gives me a lot of hope that it will either disappear or reduce to a barely noticeable level within the next few months!

    High Pitch Ring to Hiss

After about a month my tinnitus has gone from a high pitch ring to a not as noticeable hissing sound. Is this a good sign that the tinnitus could resolve within the next few weeks/months? I am assuming my tinnitus came from listening to earbuds but it came around suddenly, not after a sudden...
