AM-101 Clinical Trial — Participants Updates and Discussion

It hardly bothers me nowadays (compared to before) unless I'm in complete silence, where it feels like hell. Like, it's still very noticeable, but I try to keep my mind off it and focus on other things. Could be because I'm currently super busy nowadays, could be because of AM-101 (unlikely)...

AM-101 Clinical Trial — Participants Updates and Discussion

Late update: The improvement that I noticed previously no longer exists (and only lasted for approx 2 weeks). It's back to the same level as before treatment started. Altho, I am 90% less annoyed by it, so that's good I guess.

AM-101 Clinical Trial — Participants Updates and Discussion

Firstly, the spike I mentioned in my previous post has stopped. Also: I don't know if this is just a psychological effect, but I feel like the tinnitus has actually dropped in volume a bit, from like a 6 to a 4. This is based on checking the volume when in bed at night, when in a part of my...

AM-101 Clinical Trial — Participants Updates and Discussion

Got my third set of injections today. Tinnitus slightly is louder, just like before. Just like Oddv said about the open label drug, it leaked out of my ear - which the 'closed' study drug didn't, making me think I must have received the placebo previously.

AM-101 Clinical Trial — Participants Updates and Discussion

Had first open label injections on Tues, and another pair today. Results so far are the same as when I did the blind study; slight increase in T vol, and clogged ears. Got third set of injections tomorrow morning, hopefully I'll see some changes but I've mentally prepared for the worst.

AM-101 Clinical Trial — Participants Updates and Discussion

Had round 1 in June, and it's likely that I'm getting the real thing on Tuesday. Tinnitus level feels unchanged, annoyance is way down tho - probs just habituation or whatever it's called. Hopefully, the second round reduces the volume as well!

AM-101 Clinical Trial — Participants Updates and Discussion

I don't think the drop is a cause for concern. Oh. For me, he just used cotton wool (coated in the local anesthetic) and something (not a needle) to insert it into my ear). Also, forgot to mention in my previous post: The Doctor also told me that my eardrums have healed up and that I don't...

AM-101 Clinical Trial — Participants Updates and Discussion

FUV1 (D10) - 18/06/2015 For some reason I thought I'd have another injection today, but it was just a follow up to see how I'm doing. The actual treatment was just the three (sets of) injections I had last week. Next time I'm treated should be the real drug for sure, but that's still quite a...

AM-101 Clinical Trial — Participants Updates and Discussion

Ears are both >95% back to normal. I think T may be back to pre levels but I'm not 100% sure if that's the case or if I've just gotten more accustomed to it.

AM-101 Clinical Trial — Participants Updates and Discussion

Nothing has changed since my last update, starting to think I got the placebo but it might kick in later for all I know. Glad everything went well!

AM-101 Clinical Trial — Participants Updates and Discussion

It’s not an ID card per say, but I just didn’t really know how to describe it. Strange that you don’t have one though. Ask the nurse looking after you for it, maybe she forgot? I didn’t get it till TV1 so that may also be the reason you don’t have one yet? Here’s the front side. The reverse...

AM-101 Clinical Trial — Participants Updates and Discussion

TV2 – 9/06/2015 Fewer tests than TV1; only temperature, blood pressure and heart rate if I remember correctly. Injections to both ears felt relatively painless, I was surprised when he said “that’s it” since I was still waiting for the ‘spike’. Eardrums still feel numb, tinnitus feels louder...

AM-101 Clinical Trial — Participants Updates and Discussion

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but here's a list of prohibited medicines (written on the back of an AM-101 'id?' card that i'm to always keep with me) Hope this helps.

AM-101 Clinical Trial — Participants Updates and Discussion

TV1- 08/06/2015 Went in early in the morning. They took a urine drug test sample, did a hearing test, and a tinnitus match test. The doctor at my site was very nice and answered all my questions + discussed peripheral and central tinnitus with me. I had the injection in both ears following the...
