Yes ...but I am use to it now.

When I 1st got tinnitus ...My right ear felt heavy and real sensitive to all sounds....That went away....I do not feel the ringing or cicada type sound....Most people do not like silence but I do...No idea why...I also like to watch TV at night which blocks it out somewhat.

Nobody understands but us....I have read that TMJ, wax build up,fluid, ear infections...And the obvious noise induced can cause T. I don't agree with stress causing Tinnitus tho.

WoW....Welcome to the forums.. I Couldn't imagine going to a concert with my T without protection these days...I've avoided several concerts esp indoor ones...And I love Hard Rock! I will still listen to it somewhat loud in the house or in car..but not like I use too.

It's to keep sound from leaving room...Think it also prevents echoes. ...Either way it will still be loud and I would be careful.

Mine also sounds like a high pitched cicada...I know there is nothing that can be done...I just deal with it and block it out if possible...it doesn't consume my life...it's more of an annoyance now. The funny thing is I was always aware of tinnitus and avoided concerts and very loud stuff...

When I was exposed to the noise that gave me T...My right ear felt full for awhile maybe a couple of weeks or so...but it was also sensitive to sound...both the fullness and sensitivity went away. ..but the ringing remained till this day.

Never being able to hear silence again absolutely sucks...no doubt I miss it soooo much...My family don't understand nor do they seem like they care lol....only us with Tinnitus understand...U need to focus on other stuff..be around people.....I actually prefer silence and like watch TV at night.

Vaporizing is also bad....Google it.

I'm use to it now....it's just an everyday annoyance .....I have bigger issues than this T....So whatever lol
