  • I can be in noisy enviroments, but when I read a newspaper my ears go berzerk. "don't you read those papers man!" - ears
I could live with my T, but this hyperacusis makes life harder. I miss music so much.

Glad to hear that, hopefully your h will improve over time and soon you will be able to start music again. : )
    Mister Muso
I feel your pain, I thought I would never again listen to some of the music I love, but it's been easing since I was on Amitriptylene and I have a lot less trouble now. I can handle Pink Floyd again but probably never go back to Motorhead!
Super stressed today. Very tired. Can't relax or concentrate to anything. Days are long as still can't spend time with my hobby.
    Y
Bro, you can maybe start planning out for your next music project while your ears takes a rest, and don't overthink about stuffs and meanwhile, go do some exercise; summer is getting close, you gotta start working on abs again my g!!

Mornings are not what they used to be. I am mentally exhausted again. I had few good days in a row but fell back into the pit.
    T
That's normal - there are going to be ups and downs in the journey before it gets better. Hang in there!
    Strife_84
@Tanni I guess so. I was feeling better for few days but today I've had terrible migraine and T seems louder as well. All this because I wanted to make my new track sound better. I appreciate the support :)
I wonder how long it takes before I can forgive myself. I just keep going back to the day when I messed up.
    Bill Bauer
    It takes about 8-12 months.
    Strife_84
@Bill Bauer I would be happy with 2. It's just my ears did warn me beforehand but I still kept going. I thought the white noise was coming from my headphones. Well. I am feeling better than week ago.
Do I have another sinusitis now? There is something in this apartment that my sinuses don't like. At least my T seems lower today.
I was pretty relaxed yesterday. Even my GF noticed I was more like my old self., I think it's major improvement I was able to relax.
I am getting mentally exhausted. I am constantly angry. Even cried last night. Simply too much stress at once.

This forum is very important. Most healthcare providers will tell you not to come here. They do so with good intentions, mainly. They just don't want you to start focusing too much on T or the symptoms.
    Drone Draper
At the same time, most people in your normal life probably don't have T, or at least T that's debilitating. The camaraderie and experience of other sufferers is the only way I've learned much beyond the nonsense of the BTA.

It is normal to cry. My ENT said that her patients who cry are always tinnitus patients.
My T goes lower after exposure to normal level sounds. But when I get back into silence, it comes back. Some good article about this?
    Jack Straw
Why are you avoiding normal levels of sound? How loud in DB is "normal levels"?
    Y
Omg, That's literally me.. I find it frustrating sometimes..
    Strife_84
@Jack Straw the sound level of a being in a mall for example. I am not avoiding.
Tried listening some music at low volume. No. Just no. My ears almost did a backflip.
    SashaG
You should try to avoid music, I know it´s hard, been almost 4 weeks now, no TV either for 4 weeks.
    Strife_84
@SashaG yes, I was just curious. It was very low volume.
It's like it wants to leave but...doesn't. I can feel it behind my head, hanging. But it's more silent today. I think.
"Whatever you find worthwhile in life is worth fighting for." right now I need that sentence more than ever in my life.
Just couldn't sleep longer... Those radiators keep terrible noise at nights. Been listening them for months now even before T.
hey Strife, I am in Connecticut, (USA). I am doing pretty well! With "T" there are good days and not so good ones. Today was a good one. My tinnitus is intermittent; so it is low at times and louder other times. When it is low, it does not trouble me at all after seven years now!
    Strife_84
Nice to hear you can live well with your T :) I am still learning to cope with mine since right now at least, I lost my hobby (music), so it was big change into my life...
Took some pseudoephedrine. It rings! So I have thought this T of mine is blood flow related, even I got it from music.
    SashaG
I think it´s also stress related, I mean we are musicians, it´s terrifying to know that our hearing could be damaged. You need to hang in there and keep your body strong!
    haipa
Hey there! Did you take the full dose of pseudoephedrine?

Asking because the doc prescribed me some too, and would like to know if it made your ringing worse?
    Strife_84
@Hyperanium at first it sounds maybe bit louder but not much. It's safe to take.
What?I can silence my head by contracting certain muscles in my head. When I release the tension, T is even worse! I need muscle relaxants.
    Strife_84
@Striveon it hurt the face like hell. But I tried and the hissing away for that moment. It didn't make it better. :(
    Agrajag364
I think this is somatic tinnitus. Physio might be worth a shot. Search for physiotherapy and tinnitus in the forum, I wrote a post
    S
    I have my 1st physio appointment today...worth a shot..
Computer fans make my T go crazy. Just sitting there. I swear they are not over 80db :D
    GlennS
I actually love computer fans, or more appropriately, hard drive spinning noise. When I switched to SSDs the white noise from my desktop dropped enough to not really mask very well anymore.
    OnceUponaTime
My old computer's fan is so quiet. The new computer is horrendous!! I do'nt understand. Same brand...
