  • Hey Sven how are you going?

It was I don't have any other skills because it's so unique I have to start again. Yeah still have it not as bad. But things got a lot worse before they got better. Every now and then now. Nope still job hunting. Been just over 6 months since my injury. And now I have a new noise in that ear a beeping noise like pressing buttons on a microwave, very weird. How are you going? Has it settled? Any other symptoms?

How did you get the new noise? Were you exposed to loud volumes somewhere? Is it constant or only occassionally? My spike has settled, but it was the longest one I've ever had. I thought it was going to be permanent, but after about 2 weeks it went down.

I'm now 9 months in, but I'm still noticing improvement. Sometimes I can go out in my backyard in the morning and I can only just barely hear my tinnitus. I live in a rural area, so there's little environmental noise and it feels really good. It builds up as the day goes on, but even in the evening it's not as loud as it used to be.
Hey Sven, I'm 28 years old and I read your story on how you T started. It was exactly the same for me! Noise exposure was 20th July. Night of the exposure was like a kettle boiling. Range of different noises the next day, sesnsitive to noise. Was told I had fluid in there. Now have this white noise, with high pitched noises and a faint grinding noise. Wondering how you're going and how your progress is? B

Nope it should subside as long as I get on top of it and start getting more positive about the T. It's funny because I have been more positive and no letting it get to me but symtoms keep evolving. Ive learnt so much about the body and the brain. And how much control we don't have.

I'm going to try and use this experience. To not take things so serious and enjoy myself. As I'm sure you have already read stress is a major player in T. Going to Set some challenging short and long term goals.

I went and saw an amazing audiologist on Monday. Myriam westcott. She was the first specialist who understood what I was going through, listened and gave me great advise.
