Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

I felt pretty bad when I saw the news about the failed trail, but I was doing well at the time. I had a bad spike after a motorcycle journey recently, so am back on the forum, getting by on promises of future glory. Things look better than when I last looked for tinnitus treatment. I hope that...

I do wonder what the impact of the diet etc. of those in these studies is on individual outcomes. Many people carry around one or more micronutrient deficiency and modern diets have many setbacks and you can only screen at the most extreme end for trials like this.

Elon Musk’s Neuralink Looking to Treat Tinnitus

But Elon is very good at commercialisation at scale. Also, the performance of all the rockets that exploded was rudimentary, until they didn't.

I'm going to inject what I can, snort what I can't, then chase with vodka.

*Hearing loss and tinnitus drugs in trial pipeline* I am not sure how much closer you can get, there being multiple drugs in the clinical trial pipeline. Multiple Phase 3 trials would be nice to see, I admit. It's no given, but comments like this (which 20 years ago would have been considered...

So the incidence rate of 10% or more improvement rose with multiple doses? Although the rate of larger scale gains decreased? Or am I wrong?

Fudan University's Huperzine A Tinnitus Study

In the middle of a terrible spike, for ten quid, I decided to give this a go... Some peaceful dreams would be nice :)

I am unsure that this is a given... Can't injection of a placebo have harmful effect, due to physical phenomena alone?

I am the opposite, I never have spikes, just changes in attitude when it gets too much to bear... I guess this means that I am in the pool of people it probably won't work for :(

I have devoured so many of your posts that it feels like conversing with a celebrity! I am an engineer, not a scientist, but digested the 2009 paper on the development of Ebselen. I can't find the 2021 February paper using my sources. The 2009 paper suggests, like you did, that the primary...

    Sound Pharmaceuticals (SPI-5557 & SPI-1005)

Sorry all, another refugee from the FX-322 thread here... Having worked that thread for over year and jumping ship to skim read the last few pages here... It seems that this drug has had good results and is even oral! In my mind this is even better than an injection because... No injection. I...

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

Checking in for the first time in months. The news didn't do me any good, but the ongoing analysis is super appreciated. Feeling informed feels better, even if the info is for the better or otherwise. June does not seem too long a wait. Cheers guys and girls.

Same way doctors actually know very little about HOW what they do works. I mean, you can learn this at med school, but no practicing local GP is going to remember the mechanism by which the all of the drugs they prescribe act, or we wouldn't have enough doctors - the cognitive burden would be...

Elon Musk’s Neuralink Looking to Treat Tinnitus

This is the man who made the viable electric car company. Then made it self driving. Commercially viable without subsidies. Who then got NASA to apologise to his company because they favoured Boeing. And landed the rockets on their backside. I am an Engineer, so possibly biased... but I like...
