Saw ENT Today — Is He Correct?

That's why they get paid the big bucks. I wish I could do nothing at all and have people pay me for it. Sounds pretty sweet.

    Then take two. Problem solved.

If Your Tinnitus Was Cured, What Would Be the First Thing You Do Afterwards?

I wonder why they can't do both phases at once? Test for safety and efficacy. If I recall correctly, the safety phase of this study was done on people with hearing loss. I wonder what effect it had on them?

I Just Don't Get It — Why Some People Get Tinnitus and Others Don't

Yes. The only time I remember hearing ringing before that was once when I was young. A friend and I lit off a firecracker too close. It faded quickly and I didn't think of it again.

Laboratory Attenuation Data for 3M Hearing Protection Products

Yes. Although, if you are going to be somewhere where you could be exposed to louder levels of sound, I would use new ones. Just in case.

I Just Don't Get It — Why Some People Get Tinnitus and Others Don't

The chart you posted shows recommendations based on the CDC's NIOSH guidelines. Unfortunately, they do not protect everyone and do not take into account temporary threshold shifts (TTS), which can cause hidden hearing loss. https://blogs.cdc.gov/niosh-science-blog/2016/02/08/noise/ "The NIOSH...

I Just Don't Get It — Why Some People Get Tinnitus and Others Don't

Now did you wear protection during these exposures? And how far were you from the stage? I was a clueless teenager and just went into the mosh pit of a metal concert, no earplugs or anything. Stopped Taking Diazepam (Valium)

My inclination would be to continue withdrawing from it. It's been a few weeks and you don't want to throw a wrench into the process. You were on it for a long time but it was a low dose. Hopefully things will even out soon.

A toast to the cure.:beeranimation: (Or at least an increased quality of life.) Screaming match with a relative I visited. They can really push my buttons. I should have kept my cool. But I just lost it.

    Define Tinnitus and Habituation

I did something really stupid two days ago and my tinnitus is the worst it has ever been. Things felt like they were headed in a better direction, but now ... I had a few daydreams today about buying a gun, putting it to my head and ... but I'm trying to stay positive. We are stronger than we...
