Actual Long-Term Remission from Tinnitus Achieved

@benjd2016, I’m sorry to hear about the difficulties you’re currently experiencing with your tinnitus. Have you tried Nattokinase? If you look it up, you’ll find that it thins the blood. I don’t know what is causing your tinnitus, but Nattokinase is generally available to purchase as a...

Third Time's the Charm → Tinnitus, Hyperacusis and Pain → Clomipramine Was a Game Changer

Pregabalin is used as an antidepressant. Have you considered Amitriptyline or Nortriptyline? It’s hard to predict how these medications will affect you, so whatever you choose, take it slowly and monitor your response carefully. There are also pain clinics, apps, and psychologists that focus on...

Third Time's the Charm → Tinnitus, Hyperacusis and Pain → Clomipramine Was a Game Changer

I think it was about two doses, but I'll need to check the packet to be sure. I didn’t notice any changes in the tinnitus while taking it or after stopping. It does seem to be a strong medication with significant side effects. Are you considering trying it for tinnitus?

Third Time's the Charm → Tinnitus, Hyperacusis and Pain → Clomipramine Was a Game Changer

I have not tried Gabapentin. I took Pregabalin for a bit after the initial low-level tinnitus. It made me groggy and I could not work whilst taking it so I stopped.

    Can Diazepam Cause Intermittent "Zaps"?

@Ivano_m, can you skip the Diazepam for a day or two to see how things are? I am not aware of this as a side effect of Diazepam. But in general, 4 mg is not a huge daily amount. When I went into a psychiatric hospital because of tinnitus, I was put on c. 30 mg of Diazepam per day. I was told...

Third Time's the Charm → Tinnitus, Hyperacusis and Pain → Clomipramine Was a Game Changer

Mais ton Anglais est superbe! Happy to hear that you are doing much better. 2.5 years ago, I was in a clinique psychiatrique in Nîmes. I am doing much better as well. I did have some hyperacusis soon after it first got worse - and some dysacusis with high-frequency sounds like hair dryers, air...

Third Time's the Charm → Tinnitus, Hyperacusis and Pain → Clomipramine Was a Game Changer

@Morgoth51, are you French/in France? Funny, my psychiatrist in France mentioned Clomipramine to me. I thought that Amitriptyline increased my tinnitus a bit (and it knocked me out), and with my history with medication, I passed on it. Some reports on it seem to be brilliant but, as you state...

Hi @Leila, thanks, but no need. I was asking about the Mucinex because of the NAC connection. @Strawberryblonde, look for a big thread on NAC here if you like.

Does it have NAC in it? I take a French product called MucoDrill, which is just N-Acetylcysteine. It's good - thins mucus - and people on here take it for its antioxidant properties

    Suicidal

@TLion, I still think you should be taking something to calm you down in the meantime. You are doing the right thing trying another antidepressant, but you need something to help sleep and to help you feel calmer during the day. And play cricket sounds if you need to. As I said, do what you can...

Noxacusis and Tinnitus Caused by Repeated Exposure to Someone Who Is Hard of Hearing

Is that you saying "they did nothing at all for me" in a nice way?! The machines have various sounds, like nature sounds. The audiologist said that fractal tones should be used, i.e. with no discernible pattern. Can you tolerate these? Essentially, anything that can help with a change of...

Noxacusis and Tinnitus Caused by Repeated Exposure to Someone Who Is Hard of Hearing

@ECP, perhaps try the Sukie Baxter meditation for chronic pain on YouTube: There is a little eye movement exercise at some point. I think this is supposed to provide new sensory information for your brain to process and thus do some physiologically (I cannot remember if it stimulates the...

South Korean Clinic Treatment (Dr. Minbo Shim)

Hi @Lane - I have no idea how you came across this, but can you let us know if it does anything in relation to energy levels. I am not sure where you are with the chronic fatigue syndrome, but this stuff is supposed to help with deficient transport of oxygen around the body, which some are...
