  • I highly recommend everyone gets an acupuncture mat to deal with tinnitus stress and muscle tightness. I find it's a huge help

What if needles freak me out and create narcoleptic tendencies?
    kingsfan
I have one of these stashed in my storage across the country. Completely forgot about it. Always fun looking at my back after lying on it.
I'm too good looking to have tinnitus
    ZFire
Honestly, people with tinnitus tend to be good looking from what I noticed.. might be a correlation….
    BrOKeN_1
@ZFire I don't know about some of the guys around here (including myself) But I haven't met an unattractive woman with T.
So depressing it's 2024 and all we can look forward to is a vague Susan device that may work if we can find access to it eventually
    streifzug
It's probably another 2-3 years until it is available in Europe. That is sad.

Maybe there'll be a TU DELFT device sometime soon(er)?
    RunningMan
Just be optimistic while keeping expectations in check that you will be among the 1/3 (maybe more) of people that see a 6 dB to 12 dB reduction in T. Waiting 2 or 3 years is rough, but at least it's something potentially positive to keep in mind for the future.
Woah this forum is bleak. Wish I had a look before being foolish

Yeah it's wild there is no actual health warnings on all loud equipment. I would have a better chance of living a full life if I lost a leg..
    gameover
    100% agreed.

Unless you're a truly long term, severe case, looking at this forum will only make things worse. Clearly you've been battling this a while though.
We all should have been given 3 chances. I think that's fair. Nothing about a sudden onset seems fair, even if it came from a trauma.
    TindalosKeeper
Agreed. I still remember having my right ear still functional, then the next morning after sleep, 60% gone.
No second chances, like, seriously? I don't even like listening to music super loud.
I don't even have any dizziness like people with sudden loss experience.
Like, "there you go, this is your new normal, you adapted so fast!", lmao.
    Ridiculous.

    Think I had like 10. Still kept on truckin! (☞ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)☞

Some of us are just unlucky
Better days, followed by some rough days. I feel like this might have been the schedule before this mess.
Breaking news. Ear stuff doesn't exist anymore and everything is fine. No more auditory issues. Science has found a way. 1/01/2030

I hope hearing is still a thing xD
Coping better these days, still a few times a month that I really struggle. Never thought I would get back to a fairly chill existence. x
One year anniversary yesterday. Still finding it hard to comprehend a 1 second noise blast could lead to such consequences.

The world needs more awareness. I think most of us had no idea this evil could exist.
    volterra
Yeah totally insane, I always thought noise exposure just meant you go a bit deaf. If someone had told me the risks I would have been more careful
    just1morething
I have an axe and a tree stump available.
