  • Does hearing loss ALWAYS get worse? Like if I have mild hearing loss does it get worse over time?
    ZFire
Age related hearing loss (presbycusis) is a thing, so yes. Normal aging process.
    Damocles
It certainly doesn't get any better.
No idea how people believe there will never be a cure/treatment. There are things being done for us it isn't over.

@DimLeb Isn't Dr Shore's device going to be developed further?
    D
This is what we all hope for, and probably will be! But still, it will be a process that will take a long time. It's already been 1 and a half years that the device was announced as "market-ready" and look where we are... Not even the final trial results are out ffs. :/

I imagine it would be easier to release upgraded versions easier. God I hope it does.
Kinda feels weird to have treatment coming soon. Do you think that an improved version of Shore's device will still take long?
    S
Hopefully not, once the shore device is out and is proven to work with a reduction in tinnitus level, I like to think they can build on that for more treatments

When will her device be available? Have they published the research paper findings yet?
    TinnyCanMan
@Ryan Scott They showed some of the results which look good so far but the actual paper hasn't been published yet. It is estimated to release by the end of this year or early next year.
Have hearing aids helped any of you guys?
    S
Yes! hearing aids have helped me immensely. I have severe T and the "uninvited symphony of chaos" is reduced by a minimum of 50% daily. This along with some meds have helped me survive this beast.

Good to know something works, thanks for the responses!
