  • @Mathew Gould hewgould I was wondering the same thing, like i was a little thrown off in why they would close the lab. like what if they need to make readjustments . but I guess 1 could say it works there4 they dont need the lab . also dont you think its odd she retired B4 the device is out. IDK its her right to do what she wants and plus she knows wtf shes doing. im just paranoid

Sorry to jump into this profile post; Shore's work will invariably continue in an industry-esque lab now. It will be removed from the academic sphere and be conducted with Auricle. Research doesn't end because the academic team does.

@Joshua Macleod thats good to know, you know after years of being let down you start to get super super suspicious and paranoid. Plus when u realize this is the only last thing we got you start getting depressing crazy thoughts. I wish them all the best
Hey there sorry to bother you about an old post regarding the lidocaine patches but we're you placing the patches over your hair line at the base of the skull or just below? Female here but at this point considering shaving down that back area if needed.

I don't even use them no more. I was just putting them on my neck where I use to have pain before I started PT.. T is from neck and jaw issues.

Thanks for the update and sorry it didn't help. I have reactive T too, does the Nortriptyline help with the reactiveness or volume at all? Staring at a 10mg bottle I filled 2 weeks ago but never took.

Thanks for reporting back Matt what side effects did it give you? I'm hearing drowsiness and cottonmouth which I could deal with.
I wouldn't be surprised if my neck moved 1/32" and now pushes on a nerve causing the T. The Nortriptyline repairs nerves I think.
I'm not in much pain unless I look down... The nerve damage I'm guessing is from when my neck/jaw moved something is rubbing on a nerve, idk
Nortriptyline 10MG has worked for me so far. I'm not having "bad days" as much. I'm now on 25MG and hopefully when that kicks in

Great to hear! May I ask, was this hyperacusis related pain?

I have reactive T where it goes up with outside noise. I was never really in pain.
Hi Mathew! I too have fluctuating t for the past year, with quiet days then louder days, for no apparent reason. How have you found coping with it? It still distresses me sometimes. Hope you're doing better!

My T is from neck and jaw issues and is reactive to noise. I've done PT on my neck and jaw with little help... Ur not far from me, I'm in Rochester NY.

    HI @Mathew Gould
I'm not sure of the source of the t, it changes volume from day to day, not reactive at all, to anything. I do have chronic neck pain/migraine. I will be having an Atlasprofilas treatment next week, hoping that it will at least help with pain/migraine. Not sure about t though.
Rochester is only a couple of hours away, I think! :)
