@Yosemite Don't risk it buddy. It's a gamble.
High chance You'll regret it.

Yes I am still on a low dose. 10 months, while I have reduced to 2mg, it's difficult to get over the hump to stop taking it.
Tryn2BHopeful
While it helps me sleep, I agree that if you can get along without it that is the best way to go.

@BB23 Was it Mirtazapine that gave you T?
Yosemite
@Tryn2BHopeful 2mg is quite a low dose. Does it still have a sedating effect on you?

My main issue is that I wake up very, very early in the morning with the T screaming in my ear/head, and thus my sleep gets interrupted. Would it help with that?

@Tryn2BHopeful What happens when you try to stop? Sleep issues, depression, or what?
BB23
@Yosemite gave me more than just t, caused neurotoxicity. Visual snow syndrome headaches worse insomnia etc. I had a myriad more symptoms but most went away.
BB23
@RunningMan there's something called protracted withdrawal, a week off the drugs is not indicative of what you will go through.. and I'd suggest you check out the neurotoxicity page on Facebook too...

@Yosemite There is a thread here on TinitusTalk about Mirtazapine that @BB23 has elaborated on his experience. It could help with your sleep but not likely to help your T. It could even increase it.
Tryn2BHopeful
@Yosemite it has helped me get sleep despite T. 2mg it still does something.
