Its normal with mild to moderate T to have some sensitivity to sound. It's almost instinctive to be overly simulated by sound with this condition.

Thanks for that :) Is it common with that sensitivity to feel a bit of pain in your ears from it too? Could be overthinking it but my ear feels like its throbbing a bit. Just hoping that hyperacusis isn't what I'm experiencing

To me it sounds like loudness hyperacusis if the pain doesn't linger. But that's only my opinion.

If the pain does linger, is that normal too? Honestly at this point I trust someone who knows and experiences it rather than a doctor that's going to gaslight me into thinking its anxiety alone, lol

IMO, occasional pain might be normal for T, but if you keep getting it from loud sound and only when the sound happens then that's hyperacusis. If it lingers from sound then that's more likely Noxacusis.
