  • I need something that works well for inflammation.
    stacey
Motrin and tylenol takes down inflamation for me. just stay away from advil.
    Zorro!
Motrin and Advil are the exact same thing -- Ibuprofen.
Why does alcohol have to spike my T
    John G
Maybe thats a good thing, in regards to your long term health for not drinking too much. I am the opposite...my T hates alcohol. My current cure haha
    Sailboardman
Because anything good you want to eat or do, T absolutely hates.

    Zora
I know that situation to well. we cant tell you what to do, but ask yourself if thats worth the risk. Im 20 years old and obviously a lot of my friends go clubbing. But there are many other activities, to do together :)
    Zora
I personally wouldnt take the risk...for example house parties are not as loud...and you can still control how close you are standing to the music
Lost my temper today and the bad thing is I lost it at the kids now I feel bad :(
    Zora
sorry for that. sometimes when we feel bad we have to let it out :( unfortunate that your kids had to be you let it out to :( maybe explain you situation to them?

It's tuff having tinnitus but also very demanding with children.

Let those little monsters take over your consciousness. Let Entering their world be the escape from yours.
My partner woke up Def in one ear the doctor told him to come back in a weeks time

No just said seems a bit strange come back in a week so not sure what to do
    derpytia
Go to another doctor. He should get prednisone right away.
    just1morething
If it was me I would want a dexamethasone IT injection right away. From what I understand the best chance to regain hearing. Maybe prednisone also.
For people with tmjd did steroids help with the pain and T ?
    no life
Yes you can get them in pills do you have tmj? Have you had a mri?
    John G
Those injections I had were many years ago and I cant remember if I had an mri done for tmj. Although back then I was told I have tmjd. Now my ENT booked me for some type of mri March 29. We will see haha. Hope you are are doing well.

I had a mri that showed my jaw has slipped disk and have to have a arthroscopic, I got my date yesterday in the post, really scared incase it gets worse.im doing okay but I think amitriptyline isn't working anymore. How are you coping?
Does anyone's T get louder when you get head rush.
    no life
yes everytime I get up to quick
    Karen
Yes, mine rushes when I get up too quickly. I think it's because I have pulsatile tinnitus.
    Rina
Me too!' And I can hear my heart beat !!! It also happens when I lay on my stomach
So iv started MAM crystals how long does it take to work?
    no life
I do normally crush tablets, I think I'll give it a go :)
    J
If you buy capsules instead of tablets you only have to pull them apart over a glass of water and then stir. No need to do any crushing or mashing.

I was thinking the same lol
My best friend goes clubbing every weekend for many years and doesn't even have any problems with her ears
    Sailboardman
Just wait and say, "told you so!" You can't abuse your hearing, indefinitely.
    AnxiousJon
I'm convinced most serious hearing problems are neurological in nature, and mental health being more of a key factor than acoustic trauma(not to say it is irrelevant).
Does anyone else's tinnitus seem worse after coming in from out doors?
    Blackbird26
    in winter
    no life
    Yeh in winter?
    AnxiousJon
The outdoors are typically filled with loud ambient noises that indoor environments do not have. Your mind blocks them out though along with the tinnitus they mask; then when going indoors you hear the tinnitus more distinctly, as the masking sounds go away.
I'm so fed up of fighting this pain everyday...
    Blackbird26
Doesn't sound like it is :( I know how painful it can be, flares can be brutal and exhausting. I have pain pills for those days but sometimes even they don't work. Do you know the state of your joints?

I had a mri last week just waiting for results the back of my neck also hurts it's like it can't even carrymy own head
    Blackbird26
oh that's good! I hope you get some answers so they will be able to treat your pain more effectively.
Can anyone tell me why amitripyline lowers my tinnitus
    ceauses97
Have you made an appointment with your dentist? In most cases tmj resolves on its own.
    Andersson
I been thinking about trying amitripyline (sarotex) but Tinnitus is listed as a fairly common sideeffect, as with just about every AD. Even more frequent then fluoxetine.
    no life
I was on nortriptyline and I didn't have the same effect that I get from amitripyline
