  • Hearing pink noise at a very low level of 34.3 db. I noticed I was beginning to get afraid of lightest of noises which is not good.
Horrible night yesterday. Tinnitus was beyond my capacity. Had no choice but to take AlPrazolam (0.5 mg). I don't want this to happen again.

Tonight too, I believe it wll be as bad as yesterday night. However, i have made up my mind to have a sleepless night. It's not going to kill me hehe but benzo usage might surely

You should avoid taking benzos like Alprazolam (Xanax) if at all possible. They can do a lot more harm than good in the long run. I was prescribed the benzo Lorazepam 3 times per day @ 0.5 mg, but I take it about 1/10 th that frequency! It's 1/2 the potency of Xanax.

I took this after last Saturday which was on Jan-6. I need to be a bit more strict with this.
Anti inflammatory diet is not enough it has to be low in Salicylates as well. Berries, Kale, Broccoli, Apples, chia, grapes are strict no no
If you get fever or pain then what medication are you going to use ? Tylenol ?
    kingsfan
I use tylenol. If that doesn't work then I'll use naproxen or ibuprofen, but I try and use them sparingly.

When I was on an AD temporarily, I avoided NSAID due to possible bleeding. I'm more likely to take Tylenol for a headache, but at least I can take naproxen or ibuprofen again, which I've had to due for back pain before rarely.
Feeling better today morning. Had 4-5 hours of sleep. The impact of yesterday's trauma has gone away.T is slightly down and no headache.

Did you try visiting a sleep apnea expert ?
    RunningMan
@kingsfan I've taken doses as low as 1 mg and as high as 5 mg, usually low, I've taken time release, I've taken well before bedtime, shortly before bedtime, at bedtime, different types, sublingual, never seems to make any difference for sleep, dreams, tinnitus, anything. Zolpidem works, though.

I've had tests and do not have sleep apnea at all. This is an issue that came with severe tinnitus.
Did I give myself an acoustic shock just by turning a page. I took NAC 1000 mg just incase

Turning a page of a book?

That's what it seems like. My LDL are around 40-50 db. And turning a page created a sound of 65 db. My Tinnitus is very loud tonight. Unable to sleep at all.
I want to get one chance in life. Please cure me
    gameover
We already had it, and 2nd chances are rare. Too bad some of us weren't warned. We could have avoided the fate. Others were just unlucky for no fault of their own.

I meant one more chance. And my chance means the ability to at least go to my office and work from there.
Hyperacusis is very loud. I just tested today by turning a page like any normal person would turn and it shook my head
How do I know whether I have severe Hyperacusis? And if I do then what should I do? Don't say don't do anything.I need to work (remote)
    AfroSnowman
Don't worry about if you have severe or moderate hyperacusis, just go in and visit an audiologist, preferably one that specializes in this. They can help work you through a program
    AfroSnowman
Seriously talk to a professional for how to best approach this. Lots of people have made things worse by being over protective.

Can someone please let me know the dos and don'ts of working remotely from a Hyperacusis and Tinnitus point of view ?
    aab
I work from home. I do not attend any voice call, they understood that I cant with severe hyperacusis. I turn off speakers in device manager. Also set volume to 0 in my laptop.
