  • 3 months in, I'd be lying to myself if I said I wasnt starting to see slight improvements in hyperacusis, ttts and distortions. Volume next?
2.5 months in, no improvements worth noting yet. Losing hope by the day but I still have hope. That's all we got at this point
2 months in since worsening no notable signs of improvement. Please God let next month show that there is a light at the end of the tunnel
    gameover
He did not listen to me for the last nearly 1.5 years. Hope you get better results.
Takin a break from here, shits too sad, will be back to post improvements whenever tf that happens. I wish everyone the best❤️
5 seconds of Microsuction in left(good ear) caused ringing in left ear and right ear and hypercusis in both, distortions and ttts
    Sammy0225
Yup I gave myself a botch micro suction and got all that back in 2022
    Thizzle
@Sammy0225 how is your T doing these days and all your other symptoms?
Need my ears to calm down and resolve fully. How can 5 seconds of Microsuction in one ear cause so many problems
    how you doing bro?
    Thizzle
Hard to say, just sad, I'm just hoping to start seeing improvement, pre worsening my T was improving daily, so improving is all I've known about this condition
Hiya mate, if you don't mind me asking do you know how you got your T? I hope you're doing okay :)
    Thizzle
Acuustic trauma first and that T was reducing daily then worsened by Microsuction
I've been gifted with T , H , distortions and TTTS I think, and a blood whooshing sound in my right ear when I bend over. the whole package
    kingsfan
Is it an actual whooshing sound or is it just your tinnitus pulsating?

Bc whooshing would be pulsatile. Probably your blood pressure rising in your head when you bend over. You could bring it up the next time you're at the doc.
When you get out the shower and you hear silence for a couple of minutes then it ramps up to normal. So weird
    Anomalous
I get that too. Not just from the shower but also when I get home after a busy day. If I don't listen for it it's almost quiet for like a minute. Then my brain finds it and the volume goes up instantly. I think habitutation is when the "silence" lasts indefinitely. People who've habituated say they can sort of choose between hearing it and not hearing it.
    kingsfan
@Anomalous It's residual inhibition. Certain sounds can temporarily reduce or eliminate tinnitus in some individuals. It usually only last seconds.
    SumGuy
yeah i was like that too, turned out my sinuses were inflammed and the hot shower helped open them up.
1 and a half month in since worsening. 2 months and 11 days since I was gifted with a new"friend"no improvements of any symptoms yet:(❤️

10 likes and I'll quit vaping I know I need to for healing
    kingsfan
Yea quitting it is hard. I didn't enjoy vaping as much as smoking. I loved smoking. Really took the edge off of my anxiety even though it's a stimulant. Vaping at least mimicked smoking, but it wasn't the same. It was the "safer" alternative at the time.

I've since turned to coffee as my crutch of choice - Cold brew and espresso

@kingsfan Relapsed, had to hit the vape I went a good 11 hours without touching it. Tomorrow though, I will finally put down the vape for good
    kingsfan
Cutting cold turkey might not be the solution. Maybe try and slowly cut down less and less.
Imagine going to an ENT for help but all he does is give you another acoustic trauma lmaooo wtf man my life sucks
    Juliane
I find it hard to fathom the stupidity of ENTs....It's like they have no clue whatsoever. Should be fired for what they did to you.
    Thizzle
@Juliane it's really difficult to accept what has happened when it wasn't my fault and the original T was going away:(
