Cognitive Performance in Chronic Tinnitus Patients

I have since recovered from my wonkyness... Tinnitus is improving again now too. Went back into a proper high fat, high fiber ketosis with added potassium and magnesium.

My Ototoxic / Stress-Induced Tinnitus Is Nearly Gone

Great thread man, my tinnitus had been improving greatly over the year I've had it but I'm slipping down the slope again now that winter has arrived. Stress, tinnitus, more stress... I needed something nice to read. So thank you.

    L-Theanine and/or GABA Calm?

L-Theanine works for me, I'm not using it at the moment but given how well it worked in the darkest early days I fully expect it could zero my remaining tinnitus for several hours these days if I got more of it.

So Many Questions: Tinnitus for 12 Days Now, Potentially Caused by Noise/Stress

I've been keeping in contact with everyone that got it around the same time as me, we are all taking the same supplements (mostly just minerals and melatonin) and trying to sit and sleep straight. Everyone is improving, Go out in the sun as much as you can, sleep early. Let your brain heal.

So Many Questions: Tinnitus for 12 Days Now, Potentially Caused by Noise/Stress

Well all your life your mind is filtering out sounds from blood vessels and nerves. At some point if you get a wonky enough jaw and a crooked enough neck it's just too much. Then you start hearing things, then you get anxious and it gets worse... It does calm down again with time. Sorting out...

So Many Questions: Tinnitus for 12 Days Now, Potentially Caused by Noise/Stress

Hey Micheal, you'll be ok. I've had tinnitus for 5 months now. It gets better, I also blamed sound, jaw, neck... But in the end it doesn't work like that. It's not just one thing, it's all those things and at some point you reach the level where your brain can no longer keep you in the illusion...

Poll: After Getting Tinnitus, How Long Did It Take You to Start Sleeping Normally Again?

I started sleeping right through the night again most nights after 2-3 months. I don't use masking as it makes my tinnitus worse. Mine has changed from a solid high pitch pure tone to a general brain hiss now so that's not so bad

    Somatic Tinnitus

Literally 80% of us have the same thing :0. Although mine comes from moving my head back rather than forward. I know what it means in basic terms.. It means your central nervous system is picking up sound from your nerves in the upper neck. After 4 months I've been able to stop the continuous...

Woke Up with Ringing Tinnitus — Later on in the Day Felt Fullness in Ears

Go to a GP and see if you have an ear infection first, I'd go in the morning soon after you wake up if you can. Sometimes it's hard for them to see later in the day. I've had tinnitus for 4 months and it's 90% gone away. I think it'll go completely eventually but it'll take a bit more time. It's...

Liam Boehm — A Scammer or What?

...There are so many YouTubers preying on people with diet related cures for anything... Hi Guys, New Here, Tinnitus in Left Ear

Probably both drugs do similar things are far as the nerves go. Mine gets worse, but I sleep crooked as...

Hi Guys, New Here, Tinnitus in Left Ear

I'd be interested to know what kind of response you guys have to amitriptyline if you get a chance. 10mg is enough to give me near complete resolution of the brain ring and tinnitus on the first days dose (95%). Tried this a couple times now. Assume it's a nerve problem in the neck since the...

How Salty Is Your Diet? Should Tinnitus Sufferers Avoid Salt?

Taking Prednisone Two Weeks After the Onset of Tinnitus — Should I Risk It or Not?

I did 40mg for over a week. starting at the end of my first week of tinnitus. Did nothing imho other than give me even more anxiety and less sleep (which was sleep I really needed). The original study is a complete joke as I said ^ because magnesium was included with the pred.

New to the Forum — Tinnitus in Left Ear for 15 Years — Acoustic Neuroma?

I went to an ENT and he told me I have amazingly good ear health and that there's no need for an MRI and that I maybe stuck with the tinnitus.. Clonazepam (Klonopin, Rivotril)

Wow.. due to me having morse code tinnitus with a little pulsitile component I had this drug on my list of things to try. Maybe not.. Given that amitriptyline moves me from screaming to total silence at times and seems to give me no side effect I better stick to that.

That is normal Matty, it's because your central nervous system is ramped up, at that stage anything that isn't working 100% will be picked up as sound. Jaw, Neck usual suspects.

What Helps Most When Reactive Tinnitus or Hyperacusis Creep Back In?

My actual real tinnitus has improved to the point where it's not a great bother to me anymore. Sometimes I can barely hear it. But I'm struggling SO hard with the somatic buzzing. You would imagine once the Tinnitus fades that you'd get over that... seems it's going to take a long time.
