Noise-Induced Tinnitus. Looking for Positive Stories of Habituation/Recovery.

It took 3 hard months to finally get used to it. Not to say it still doesnt annoy the hell out of me sometimes, but theres' no anxiety, which was the worst part about it.

Noise-Induced Tinnitus. Looking for Positive Stories of Habituation/Recovery.

I got tinnitus back in May. I was suicidal for about 2 and a half months due to anxiety and depression from it. Would only sleep 2-3 hours a night. To make is a short story, it got progressively quieter and I became better at ignoring and not getting anxiety over it when I did hear it. Now I...

I Know What Caused My Tinnitus / It's Going Away

Another update: Its almost gone, there just a fluctutating quiet mosquito ring in the right ear. I'm pretty sure I've been having a eustacian tube dysfunction because the steroid spray is starting to finally kick in after almost 2 weeks, and because the ringing fluctuates so wildly, as well as...

I Know What Caused My Tinnitus / It's Going Away

Its the quietest its been since it started 3 weeks ago. Im also using a steroid nasal spray because I think I have ETD. I do not think an antihistamine would make yours worse. If you have allergies, then its worth a shot. But if you're worried, ask your doctor.

I Know What Caused My Tinnitus / It's Going Away

So I've had tinnitus for about 16 days. It first started due to a sinus infection, but even after that cleared up there was still something ringing. I finally found the answer. Last night I did not take ANY antihistamine or ANY prednisone and my ringing got worse. Took prednisone and and...

Went to Restaurant for About 50 Minutes... Afterwards Noticed a New Kind of Wavering Ringing

I have an iPhone app that said the decibel level was around 65. I could clearly hear the people across from me at a normal conversation level. But after I got out of the restaurant I noticed there's a new kinda wavering ringing in my left ear. I'm very worried this is permanent.

Funny thing is it's gone now. I'm new to tinnitus, less than 2 weeks due to sinus infection. Hoping it all goes away :(

New Sound When I Woke Up

I've had my tinnitus for almost 2 weeks that came all the sudden one night. I had a sinus infection. I started penicillin 12 days ago but that didn't work that well then I switched to augmentin which did help a lot, but after 6 days of augmentin there was still a little ringing in my right ear...

That is very good to hear. I thought it would go away as soon as the infection was healed. :(

Yeah, that's what I've read. It's just really alarming because I've never had the ringing before, I guess because I've never had a sinus infection. Thank you for the reply
