Hey, for me earplugs can make it worse. Im pretty sure its because it is starving the brain of any outside sound at all. When the brain isnt getting any stimulus it tries to make up its own.

Everybody's struggle is different. Hearing Loss/ T/ H its all very unfortunate but its hard to compare which is more difficult to deal with. Glynys had a good point about the hearing aids. Have you given them a shot? Sorry if I missed that in the thread. Good Luck!!
