Honestly just went away during the day. I'd suggest isolating yourself from loud noses, wear earplugs if necessary.

You get used to it. I often wear earplugs in my right ear when there is a lot of background noise though, but I'm not sure if it's my H or my diplacusis. I think it might be the combination of both, since basically what I hear in crowded places is the equivalent of television static in that ear.

I played the piano for over ten years. But the hearing loss measuring was through an audiogram; I went to see an audiologist.

Seems to be gone now. Thankfully it didn't accompany further hearing loss

I get that too but I don't associate it with T. I mean really just feeling the vibrations from the sound you hear.

If you find one, let me know :) But the larger goal of this project would be to identify the underlying triggers to T and help find ways to lessen them.

Excellent idea, and I was thinking of adding something similar to what you have to this app, so definitely welcome. As for the format, I'm open to any, so long as it's simple enough to access using a mobile device (and sound playback can be done without needing the device to be active).

Oh, well this is in poll form so it's very different. Also I don't think it's counterproductive because it gives us an idea of how much of an effect our ears have on our lives, and what we would be willing to sacrifice in order to get them working again.

Mine's an actual sound, I believe it's external T, especially since it's gotten softer since my hearing loss.

I also get a vibrating sound, usually before going to sleep, but it is only in my right ear. I feel as though it's a muscle vibrating somewhere near there, and it only happens if I don't 100% relax my facial and neck muscles.

Tinnitus and Hyperacusis are unfortunately lifestyle and quality of life changers. If your partner isn't ok with accommodating you with those lifestyle changes, then you should look elsewhere. I know it feels awkward to have to wear earplugs all over the place, but you give people less credit...

It's odd though out of the dozen or so different T sounds I hear, I feel like only one or two have this effect.

It's weird, I feel like it is actually emitting noise from my ear and it is resonating. Like I physically feel like there is air being vibrated in or around my ear canal. Anyone else get that feeling?

First hearing loss I had, I thought was because of earwax buildup in my right ear so I went to irrigate it. After nothing changed I went to see an audiologist and found out I had hearing loss in that ear. So yes absolutely a possibility.

Despite my tinnitus being really loud, the fact that I've had some form of T my entire life makes it that I can sometimes go several hours without noticing it. But when I do hear it, it is a nightmare.
