I can see TTTS causing rumbling sounds. I can even create the sounds myself by flexing my tensor tympani muscle, but I really do not see how it would cause high frequency tinnitus.

I agree with @Johan001 and believe hearing aids should be worn because you could be exposed to loud noises anytime. Although I haven't got mine yet, my audiologist referred me to them. Good hearing aids block out loud noises.
