I'm not saying, that xanax is antidepressant.. But i have bad experience with amitriptylin and risperidon(anti-anxiety med).. If xanax caused my worse state.. I dont know.. Probably amitriptylin or risperidon..

SSRI SNRI tricyclic tetracyclic benzos are all ototoxic. All the previous listsings in the post are ototoxic. There is no anti anxiety drug that is not ototoxic. Maybe RTG is no ototoxic and helps with anxiety

Good. Anti-anxiety meds are treatment for anxiety, not for tinnitus. You clearly had acoustic trauma. And even if you were anxious, they have a lot of possible side effects. Including tinnitus. I am glad you refused them.

Consider taking St John's Wort for your anxiety. It is herbal and is a mild antidepressant and wont make tinnitus worse. It will help calm you.

No, that should be fine. Just don't start any new psychiatric medication. That means anti-anxiety drugs, or anti-depressants.

Monday and I think my case of tinnitus has become severe from these medications....I don’t know how I’ll function if this isn’t a temporary spike from the meds. Sleeping 2-4 hours a night. Losing faith the T will go away completely and lower. It’s only gotten worse.
