Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

I think they have included sudden hearing loss in many of their postings. The last trial included people with hearing loss due to noise exposure or sudden sensorineural hearing loss.

Inner Ear Hair Cell Regeneration — Maybe We Can Know More

I just would like a better understanding of to what extent supporting cells are lost/retained based on amount of hearing loss and/or tinnitus. It was stated that if you have profound hearing loss, that you are essentially void of supporting cells but what about Severe, Moderately Severe...

Inner Ear Hair Cell Regeneration — Maybe We Can Know More

Just looking to see if supporting cells can survive in severe cases for some of these treatments to work.

Inner Ear Hair Cell Regeneration — Maybe We Can Know More

What are the chances that tinnitus helps supporting cells survive? Has anybody heard anything to this point? For severe hearing loss I guess its assumed that much of the hair cells and supporting cells are destroyed but is it possible that the supporting cells survive somehow and that tinnitus...

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

Innovative research to potentially restore hearing damaged by noise or acute loss is being investigated by Dr. Rosenbloom. This statement is in the clinical trial posting. When stating acute loss, they mean sudden hearing loss correct? I have not seen this acute mentioned previously regarding...

Inner Ear Hair Cell Regeneration — Maybe We Can Know More

Does the Novartis treatment work off of supporting cells? How is it different than the Frequency Therapeutic treatment?

Supporting Cells Relationship with Hearing Loss Level

    Thanks for the correction

Supporting Cells Relationship with Hearing Loss Level

Seems there is an indirect relationship between how many supporting cells are remaining and level of hearing loss. Is it a linear relationship or exponential? For instance what percentage of supporting cells are remaining at different hearing loss levels (30, 40, 50, 60, 70, etc. until down to...

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

Anybody concerned that Frequency seems to be getting more involved in additional ventures other than hearing restoration? Recent news has focused around other opportunities that they are working on separate from hearing restoration. Their website has also been updated and still mentions hearing...

Inner Ear Hair Cell Regeneration — Maybe We Can Know More

Yeah I’m new to the thread. Guess I didn’t understand the difference between the cellular repair versus the Mickey Mouse drugs you mentioned. Was looking for some quick insight from somebody more educated. Shame on me.

Inner Ear Hair Cell Regeneration — Maybe We Can Know More

What is an example of this cellular repair that you mentioned?

Inner Ear Hair Cell Regeneration — Maybe We Can Know More

I think he may have been pointing out that there is development going on for helping those with severe to profound hearing loss. Still I wonder with this CGF166 treatment, is the intent to make significant improvement for severe to profound hearing loss or are they just testing those with that...

Inner Ear Hair Cell Regeneration — Maybe We Can Know More

Would this work for severe hearing loss? Seems that many of these treatments are limited in terms of how many progenitor or supporting cells one has.

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

I wonder how many times this treatment could be applied? I’ve got severe hearing loss (60-7o dB) for 4khz and above. So I have a small amount of hair cells for these frequencies but obviously I do have some. I have normal hearing below 3khz. Could the treatment be applied multiple times to...

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

I've been reading through this thread and had a few questions: 1. I have high frequency hearing loss in one ear. It is normal up to 3KHz but then it drops to 50db at 4KHz and 75db at 6Khz and 8Khz. No idea what it is above 8KHz but I'm sure its either severe or profound. As I read through here...

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

I’m one hoping this treatment would be available in 5 years but the reality is it’s probably gonna be closer to 10 years before it’s ready for the masses. Still it’s something giving us hope. There are several companies racing to develop this treatment with a $20 billion market and lots of the...

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

In one of Frequency TX press releases they stated: Furthermore, the team achieved 60-fold enhancement of hair cell production from the progenitor cells compared to current methods. The generation of new hair cells was achieved even in cochlear tissue that had been depleted of hair cells by...

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

Would this treatment also help with Sudden Hearing Loss? I believe my hearing loss was caused by ototoxic medication but possibly noise induced influence as well. They only mention this for chronic noise induced hearing loss.
