    Multivitamin without Making Tinnitus Worse?

Seconding that multivitamins don't contribute to Tinnitus. I take the gummies everyday.

    Fear of MRI

Hi there! My new ENT ordered a MRI for me at the end of the month. For unrelated reasons, I had a MRI in both 2014 and early 2016. I don't think the MRIs had any effect on my T, but I get insanely claustrophobic and anxious. I would say have the MRI for sure (knowing whether you have a blood...

    Dogs and Their Barking

I really should. Luckily (knock on the wood), the dog has stopped barking. I wonder if something happened to it or if someone else complained... Unfortunately, my T remains though...

    Nose Surgery

Yikes, let us know how it turns out and any impact on your T. I have a deviated septum with bone spur (luckily not too visible cosmetically), but my ENT doubts it has any correlation with my T, so we're leaving it alone.

    Tinnitus Worse After Shower

Does anyone notice that T is much worse after a shower? (On a sidenote, I love that I don't hear my T while IN the shower.) My T is not related to hearing loss and I haven't been diagnosed with H, so I don't think it's the shower sound. Curious as to what could be the reason then. I normally...

    Dental Splint — TMJ

As a bit of background, my T first developed in 2010. I learned to cope with it, UNTIL it got much worse in December 2016. My hearing test came back "perfect," and the ENT could find no cause of my T. This left me pretty frustrated, so I thought of other causes. For at least 5 years now...

    Ear Stents?

@MikeL1972 Thank you, I think that's a great idea. Why go directly to experimental methods? And, even if it doesn't help my T, it probably is good not to have my jaw popping so much.

    Ear Stents?

As a bit of background, I first developed T in 2010, but it very recently spiked two weeks ago and hasn't backed down. (It has never spiked before.) Anyway, I just had a hearing test and exam by an ENT. The verdict? Everything looks great. (What a double-edged sword, right?) She did...

    8 Years and Counting

The audiologist I met today recommended "Resound Relief" on iOS and Android. I haven't used it yet, but it seemed pretty cool. It's also free, which helps.

Can Birth Control Make Tinnitus Worse?

Been on the same bc since 2012. My T developed in 2010, and just kicked it up a notch this year (ugh), so I'm thinking no relation.

    The "Fun" Doesn't Stop...

@Tyler Montgomery It's deja-vu for me too from when I first developed tinnitus (except without the sinus infection + ETD talk this time). The audiologist did recommend a free app called Resound Relief, so let's see if that helps.

    The "Fun" Doesn't Stop...

I just completed my hearing test, which consisted of (prepare for super unscientific terminology): (1) a test where they put a device in each ear that chimed to determine the health of my ear drum + inner ear hair, (2) chime test using headphones, (3) word test where I had to repeat words said...

Welcome! (Love the Sailor Moon avatar, btw.) Have you tried a noise machine? My fiance recently bought me to help me sleep: https://www.amazon.com/SONEic-Machine-Soothing-Natural-Headphone/dp/B00PJ8QLXI/ref=sr_1_9_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1482191707&sr=8-9&keywords=white%2Bnoise%2Bmachine&th=1...

    Dogs and Their Barking

Our neighbors have the YAPPIEST dog. It will bark for 30+ minutes at a time, often seemingly for no reason. The neighbors seem to be gone a lot, so it's possible the dog is just lonely or hungry. I feel bad for the little guy, but the shrill sounds REALLY bug me. Fed up of being woken up...

    The "Fun" Doesn't Stop...

@mgstarr100 I think we just get to be "lucky." I'm leaning toward earbuds being worse since they put the noise directly into the ear, but I'm not sure. It's also frustrating to think of T getting in the way of exercise (well, at least how we chose to exercise). Man. Shifting topics - I...

    The "Fun" Doesn't Stop...

Micheal, I didn't know that, but it certainly makes sense. My ears (and overall head) did feel a bit compressed after wearing them after a particularly long/intense cardio session.

    The "Fun" Doesn't Stop...

Hi Themoon, I was listening to a podcast with my wireless (bluetooth) Beats headphones. They are the big over-the-head ones. (They go over my ears instead of in them.) I've wondered if that could be the aggravating factor, but I've been using them since May. Maybe build-up over time? I...

    The "Fun" Doesn't Stop...

Thank you all! :) I woke up today and my T was slightly better. Maybe it's just the heavy rain distracting my brain, but it's good to have some reduction!

    The "Fun" Doesn't Stop...

"Lucky" us - ha! The tone/sounds stay the same; it's just the volume that has changed. Hoping to get good news/advice from my ENT next week. Hopefully your noises get better as well! T is so frustrating.

Welcome to the Club I Guess?

Maybe it's a noise in your house that only you have sensitive enough ears to hear? For example, some humans (usually teens) can hear anti-dog bark devices. It might be a good idea to get a hearing test to be sure.

    The "Fun" Doesn't Stop...

Hello all! It's good to find a place where I'm not the only one dealing with this problem! My story is pretty simple - one day in early 2010 while studying for an exam, I heard a hissing/static-y noise in both ears. One doctor said I had Eustachian tube Dysfunction. Another said I was just...
