You can still meditate with tinnitus no problems. Just consider it background noise. Eventually you can still clear your mind, and meditation is always beneficial anyway, even if you find it difficult.

Yeah it's a nasty thought, and one i don't like to entertain very often, but you should always keep in mind; no matter how bad your day gets, there is ALWAYS someone doing it tougher.

Stress is a common trigger in bringing on increased volume of t at the very least, so yeah it only makes sense that a life changing event would be a factor...

Same here... Your symptoms are similar to mine. During the 6 years you have had the t, have you ever experienced lightheadedness? Incapacitating vertigo attacks? They give you hearing protection before you go in. If they don't, just ask them. I had one done last week and the noise didn't...
