Do Any of You Meditate? How Do You Handle the Tinnitus While Meditating?

You can still meditate with tinnitus no problems. Just consider it background noise. Eventually you can still clear your mind, and meditation is always beneficial anyway, even if you find it difficult.

    Pure Torture

Hi Glenn I'm only in the early stages of Meniere's compared to you but I understand how you feel about feeling like ending it. I am also constantly thinking about it. In fact endless sleep is the only thing I look forward to in life. In any case I would never actually do it. Have you tried...

    Isn't Tinnitus a Nightmare!

You're not the only one there. It's pretty sad when the only thing in life you look forward to is sleeping, but I have to keep reminding myself that there is always someone suffering worse than me.

    Newbie with Meniere's and Tinnitus

Fair enough, but what makes you think this particular ENT got it right? Why not get a sixth or seventh opinion if that is your line of thinking? As I mentioned I believe it is almost impossible to accurately diagnose Meniere's after 2 months of symptoms, so that's why I would be more inclined to...

    Newbie with Meniere's and Tinnitus

I can only assume you have skipped a lot of detail here because your diagnosis doesn't make any sense. Nobody can possibly diagnose Meniere's based on symptoms that have lasted 2 months. Your t could be caused by any number of things, and Meniere's is probably the last thing on that list. I'm...

    It's Gone

Well that's because rational thinking people understand that there is actually proof of the potential for meditation to heal various conditions, but the "god delusion" does not include rational thinkers. Like I mentioned before, for many sufferers this is a very serious (often life threatening)...

    Meniere's Disease

You could try the John of Ohio supplement regime. I'm sure it has helped me somewhat. It absolutely is not the "cure" as some people would have you believe, but it may help repress symptoms to a degree. Some things that have either done nothing for me or made things worse (who can tell) are...

    Meniere's Disease

I've had it for 8 years and it certainly hasn't got any better, but I have become a bit more resilient to it. Vertigo attacks are definitely not as severe and consequently I very rarely vomit with it now. The onset of drop attacks has made life very uncomfortable though and have resulted in...

    Meniere's Disease

Well I had had a good 4 months after starting the John of Ohio regime, only to experience my first ever drop attack today...I had been reading stories about drop attacks ever since I was diagnosed but always thought they would never happen to me. I can now attest that all the stories are true...

    The Dreaded "Ping"

Whenever i am about to go through a rough time with the t, i get this ultra loud ping which feels like it is piercing my skull. It may seem like a strange analogy but i imagine it being a similar experience to a bullet going through my head (only i'm still conscious after it of course o_O)...
