Completely Cured of Hyperacusis: Planning to Go to a Shooting Range

I have a huge respect for what you have gone through and for what you have been doing for Tinnitus Talk to help people and comfort us. Perhaps I was wrong to say, 'I don't care if my hearing is affected at all.' I'm sorry. It was highly disrespectful to everyone on Tinnitus Talk, and I somehow...

Completely Cured of Hyperacusis: Planning to Go to a Shooting Range

I was an active member of Tinnitus Talk 4 years ago, and I still see familiar people here. To see how I have suffered, I strongly recommend you look up my postings; they are quite dreadful. Now I am entirely cured of hyperacusis, and I don't care whether I lose my hearing from loud noise. My...

Anyone Have Phonophobia But Not Misophonia?

Very true! I'm very anxious whenever I acceidently hear a loud noise and that it would impact my hearing in any way. It's a dreadful condition, hyperacusis. I Wish I Could Have Experienced the A-Level System in the UK

I am very jealous about A-Level system in the UK. They seem to offer some good students in sixth form tons of subjects that you can choose what to study according to your preferred major when going to a college. It's also fascinating that A-Level covers about the first year of college's studies...

Poll: Do You Have Hyperacusis without Tinnitus?

Hi, Michael Leigh, thank you for your warm welcome. Looking back, and to this day, I think my hyperacusis is gradually getting better. But the healing process is extremely, almost unnoticeably slow. One has to endure it and always take care of their conditions. That's all I can say now, for sure.

Poll: Do You Have Hyperacusis without Tinnitus?

I have hyperacusis but not tinnitus.. Or I should say I have a mild tinnitus that can be heard if I concentrate on it. The tinnitus sometimes spikes but it soon fades away with a couple of hours. So I don't suffer from tinnitus but with hyperacusis.

Anyone Abandoned Earplugs and Switched to Earmuffs?
